I am going to use fake nails because mine are too short.
I have to attach the fake nail to a toothpick to dip it in the water , what do I attach them with?

2-4 colors are great for water marbling. you can use 5 or maybe even 6 colors if you work super fast because you can only put in one or two layers of each color. most of the time, contrasting colors work well. black and yellow, blue and orange, yellow and green. White looks good with any other color too. If you want, you can try a rainbow of red or pink, yellow, green, and blue or you can add in more colors as you get more experience with water marbling. using just warm colors or cool colors sometimes works very well too.
