what color is paired best with coral for a July 2011 wedding?

Sara

I am getting married in July of 2011,but I have no idea what other color I should use to make that coral pop. I was thinking a pale yellow and red.what do you think?

Answer
Depending on the gradient of the coral, I reccommend a green. These colours are contrasting so both will create a "WOW" effect! What are you using the coral for?

Pale yellow would look darling! I don't think you should choose red, because the colours will clash. Look how fabulous pale yellow and coral look together -> (nail polish) https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtaiE8Npf3pBmhkbKPtPSEcWy5xWuhjFVtTpCxX_dZEC3Vt61geZj4PNRTq79Tyg_Rd_HjiI9rhE7184TAnafaWu1XKX4I19PtAxbwsE2Fwj4vgF7uR3qNyFNElLcU3idXZAhG1quhHc_v/s1600/essie_hauteashello&barbudabanana.jpg

My dog got nail polish all on her front left leg what should I do?

nail polish for dogs image

Bobby

The other night my mom dropped and broke her nail polish and I thought she cleaned it good but I guess not because this morning when I woke up I saw the nail polish all on my dogs leg. How can I take it off? will nail polish harm her skin? shes a lab mixed.

Answer
Don't use nail polish remover to get it off. Maybe cut the fur that it got on or use baby shampoo and get it off. I don't think it would hurt her skin, though, but I've never been in this situation.

Good luck with your baby!

How can I get nail polish off of my dog without hurting her? (read description)?

Ally

My step dad put pink nail polish on all of my dog's nails without realizing that it could be harmful, especially because my dog bites her nails sometimes. I read that it could be toxic to an animal and I wanted to get it off as soon as possible. I also read that nail polish remover is even worse for a dog to be around. I have no idea what to do.. Thanks!

Answer
Whomever told you that nail polish remover is dangerous for dogs to be around is an idiot. Just remove the nail polish from your dog's paws and wash the dog. Problem solved. Have a talk with your father, it's not funny.

How do I draw checkered designs on nails?

nail art glue
on RED Toe nails Airbrush full cover false nail tips with glue toe nail ...
nail art glue image
Q. No, not gluing on fake nails. How do you draw even squares on your nails like this: http://th01.deviantart.com/fs27/300W/i/2008/154/f/2/Checkered_Nails_by_Rain8ow.jpg
Where do you get smaller brushes? My friend said use toothpicks for nail art but I think it'll make it all bumpy...

Answer
Usually people go to the salon for this kind of stuff, but you can also do this:
METHOD 1:
Apply a clear coat of nail polish before you do anything to prevent stains or anything that might damage them. Make it at least two coats.
Draw squares all over the nails with a white marker, like a checkerboard. Fill in the squares you want to be white.
Fill in the remaining squares with a thin black Sharpie marker.
Wait a few minutes or until dry.
Apply a clear coat to prevent erasure.
METHOD 2:
Apply a coat or two of white nail polish.
Draw squares all over the nails with a black marker, like a checkerboard. Fill in the squares you want to be black. You will not need to draw white squares because of the nail polish.
Wait a few minutes or until dry.
Apply a clear coat to prevent erasure.

TIPS:
Don't make the squares too small or too big. If they're too small it will be hard to make them checkered, if they're too big they might look hideous.
Practice makes perfect, don't expect them to come out perfectly nice the first try, but don't give up!

Make sure the Sharpie is dried completely before you apply the clear coat finish, as by doing so you might make a Sharpie mess, in other words, it would not longer be checkered, it would be white with purple stains. So wait for it to dry.
Do not sniff the Sharpie
Do not swallow the nail polish, remover or any other item used for this.

If you want to SEE how it is done, go here:

How do you get crazy glue or super glue stains out of granite countertops?

I recently helped my daughter with her art project which involved super glue and paper. We placed the paper with the super/crazy glue on the granite countertop for a few days and when we picked it up, it looks as though the glue left stains where it seeped through the paper. They aren't big pieces of glue so I can't scrape it off. It looks like it either dried the countertop or left a stain. I have no idea how to get it out without damaging it. Please help!

Answer
well, acetone dissolves super glue.. you can probably use nail polish remover to dissolve it. as some removers contain acetone.

How can I seal acrylic paint onto glass?

nail polish jars
on BYS Glam Glitter Nail Polish Mini 7ml Bottles
nail polish jars image

Lea

Would transparent nail-polish work? I wanted to make bathroom decor by painting over plain glass jars with acrylic. So they'll hardly be touched.

Still, just to make the paint last longer I was wondering what would be a cheap and inexpensive way to hold the paint in place?

I remember my art teacher in university telling me to use transparent nail polish, but I was wondering if there might be something else?

Also, I don't live in Canada nor UK nor the US.

Answer
Modge Podge is the answer! You can get it from most craft stores (In the US you can get it at Walmart..) but here it's about 5USD and will seal any paint on any surface and make it moderately waterproof.
Modge Podge is a sealant, glue, and finish. It's this white thick liquid (you buy it in plastic jars) and you paint it on with a brush (it comes out white but dries clear :3 ) then it dries and acts as a clear protective coat over your jars.
Now, if you can't find any where you live, just go to any craft store and find a clear gloss or finish. It'll be fairly cheap :) It'll most definitely be around 5USD. Clear nail polish would work too, but it'll be a hassle brushing it all on lol.

How can I remove the design from a mason jar?

J

I bought a large mason jar at the thrift store. It has a pattern of holly leaves on it that seems to be painted on and sealed. I would like to remove it to have just a clear jar. Any ideas of how to get the paint off? I have tried goo gone and nail polish remover and neither had done anything.

Answer
I have never seen that one so perhaps you got a gold mine. Check Mason web site and see when it was made. This might be a collectible as it may be layered into the glass itself. Otherwise "steel wool" and scraping with a steel knife (neither scratches glass as they are the same hardness.) But before wrecking it, I would check it out as a collector piece.

When I paint my nails they usually don't last a day after they are painted
So how can i keep my nail polish looking new without using fake nails
I don't go to a salon to have it done i just have it done at home so please specify what product i can use
please and thanks :D

Answer
Do a clear coat first and then the color you want on top of that:)
Products I recommend are:
China glaze
ICE (usually only two dollars)
O.P.I
Loreal
Revlon
Those all work pretty well for me! And if you wanna do a clear coat after that helps too(I just find it to be a lot of work and drying haha).

How do you get Sharpie out of the Fabric part of Converse?

Mariannexx

K, well like my friend decided to write on the side of my shoe (on the fabric not rubber) and i regret EVER letting her do it, so i want it reeealy want it off, i tried Loreal, and Tresemme Hairspray, Nail polish remover, and washing it, they are Raspberry color converse, barely bought them like a couple weeks ago, and she painted on it with a magenta color sharpie. Help?

Thanks [:

Answer
Whatever color converse you have, get the same color or close sharpie, and color over it, until it is damp, and soak it up with a washcloth or something, if you can find the exact color, put bleach into some water, and dab it on the spot, and it will ighten it, and then color over it with sharpie. I got Black sharpie on a red pair of dickes shorts and did this for about 5-10 minutes, and they look like it never happened, although for the first couple times i wore them, it stained my leg.

How would you say these onomatopoeia and one word in other languages?

Thailog

I know they Are Not words but I am only asking. List of them (onomatopoeia) here;
1. Hiya! or Hiya...! - Used by characters (most of which are NOT of BOTH from Asian national AND decent) who uses the phrase while in the middle of performing Martial Arts techniques.
Example: A violent scenario. (* = use of onomatopoeia)
...before the terrorized young woman's second assailant can corner her, he is helpless as another young woman subtly approaches him. She is wearing a T-shirt that stops 5 inches below her waist, black leggings, and red canvas flats. She creates an illusion that there is an unstable bee hive above him, and as she lures him to a cave, she tosses a stone enveloped by a note to his foot, and walks up behind him.
The boy reads the lines on the note:
Boneeta Priemaverra: (knock, knock)
Bastard: Who's there?
Boneeta Priemaverra: Hola.
Bastard: ¿Quien hola?
Boneeta Priemeverra: Hola allí [Pronounced Oh-lah ah-yee].

The boy scratches his head, contemplating the question,"If 'Hola' means 'hello', then "Hola allí' means...?

The girl taps his shoulder. The boy twists around to look into the girl's eyes for seconds, and just as she locks him into eye contact with her hypnotic brown eyes and underestimated, harmlessly ambiguous level of attractiveness and other overlooked characteristics.

"Hi there', she says just before knocking his lights out with a strike her tightly-quenched fist propelled by her slim, muscular arms, while saying,"Hiya!" *

2. Uh-oh/Uh oh. - An exclamation of error, concern, awareness of a problem, or surprise.
E.g.: Suddenly, a pride of young men, composed with ages from one year and six months younger to three years older than her, appear to be riding unbelievably large and terrifyingly monstrous wolves with pitch black eye sockets.

The young men, donning his own version of formal attire and defying the assumption that men of all types can't find their own style, encompass them in a ring of crosshair-assisted compound bowmen.

"Uh oh", the girls spit out.*

3. Bang! - Representing a loud noise or heavy impact. (A sudden percussive noise.) To strike forcefully.
E.g.: The Dragon Rider lightly compresses a button and he is willingly consumed into his vehicle, which goes from bipedal to quadrupedal, extends its forelimbs into hands with talon-like nails, and its heads becomes a mask. The titan looks like a combination of a man at a white tie event and a dinosaur.

Estella Warren, standing behind the monstrous young man, using sign language to ask if that was the same young man that opened her diary. The answer is 'yes' and her revenge was going to be sweet.

She taps his shoulder. The young man, seeing her faint shadow grow larger from behind his feet, swings a claw in a failed attempt to knock her over, only to miss and observes in amazement as she kicks the smooth side of his talons, shattering them almost simultaneously.
Snap! the talon's explode into fragments.*

4. Oof! - A sound mimicking the loss of air, as if someone's solar plexus had just been struck.
Ex.: Estella throws one blow to the testicles, then another to the guy's lower abdomen.
"Oof!" he painfully yelps.

5. Pow! - Represents the sound of a violent impact, such as a punch.
POW! is the only sound that heard as Kara also gets her revenge on the young man after she expertly hurls a straight punch to his face, effortlessly knocking him down.*

6. Thud/knock (lightly) - Dull strike noises.
A 'Thud' is heard as Boneeta taps the boy's shoulder.*

7. Whack! - To hit, slap or strike.
A Whack! is heard as Diana roundhouse kicks one of Steve's last long-existing baby teeth from his mouth.*

8. Crack! - To cause to make a sharp sound. â
Crack! is the sound of Regina throwing a sharp roundhouse kick to The Furox/Mordrid's helmet, harmlessly snapping the cover off as well as exposing Kirk's surprised, cringing face.*

9. Bop! - To gently or playfully strike someone or something.
Bop! is heard as the most sinfully attractive girl in school, Megan Banes, kicks Toyotomi in the mouth while flirting with him during their sparring match.*

One word:
Hottie - In reference to an (usually lustfully) attractive girl or young woman.
(i.e.: That girl is a martial arts hottie!)

What is the best itinerary for a week in San Francisco?

Michael

I'm planning a trip to the Bay area in March, to visit U.C. Berkeley and sight see, and I'm having some trouble nailing down exactly what to do there. My mom and I, I'm only 17, have agreed on going to Berkeley and a day trip to Big Sur, but that's about it. We'd be flying in on a Thursday and departing on the following Friday. This leaves quite a few days unaccounted for...any suggestions? Any advice would be appreciated.

Answer
Anytime you visit a new city it is advisable to borrow or purchase a guide book, it will give you info on cost, accommodations, dining, attractions, public transport and weather.

Here is my Must Do San Francisco

1. Ride a Cable Car, the only moving historical landmark in the world. Stop off at the Cable Car Barn at Washington and Mason to get a full understanding of this unique form of transportation. Riding the Powell Hyde line will allow you to see Lombard Street the famous crooked street.

2. Visit Alcatraz, this former prison is the most popular destination in San Francisco. The bay cruise to and from the island will give you the opportunity to see the skyline from the water a unique perspective. It is wise to purchase tickets before you arrive as tours are often sold out http://www.alcatrazcruises.com

3. Visit Coit Tower, Beautiful murals inside, impressive bay view from the tower or Pioneer Park at the base. Then descend Telegraph hill via the Filbert Steps on the east side of the park for a unique view of how folks on Telegraph Hill live, more beautiful bay views and the chance to hear and see the famous Parrots of Telegraph Hill.

4. Golden Gate Bridge, not just a feat of engineering, this 1.7 mile span offers incredible views of The City, the bay and the Pacific ocean. Be sure to visit Ft. Point under the bridge for a different view of this San Francisco Icon.

5. Explore Golden Gate Park, this large urban park can consume a whole day. The Japanese Tea Garden, California Accademy of Science, the DeYoung Art Muesum, the Arboretum, Bison Paddock, and Paddle boats are all worth a look and watch the sun go down over the Pacific over a drink or dinner at the Beach Chalet.

6. Chinatown, the most densely populated portion of San Francisco offers an abundance of shopping, food and unique architecture found outside of Asia. The best place to buy souvenirs to take home to friends and family.

7. North Beach, traditionally the Italian section of the city which has no beach but abounds in quaint shops, great restaurants and The Cityâs best coffee options.

8. Civic Center, the largest collection of Beaux Arts buildings in the US. Home to San Francisco City Hall, with a dome larger than the US Capital, the Asian Art Museum and the Modern San Francisco Library with its San Francisco History Room housing an eclectic collection of city artifacts and photographs.

9. Yerba Buena Gardens, this urban park is home to the Museum of Modern Art the Museum of The African Diaspora, Cartoon Art Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the Metreon, it will keep you entertained for hours.

10. Twin Peaks, see The City and the bay spread out at your feet. Especially captivating at night when the lights seem to go on for ever.

What should I ask for for my 14th birthday?

How to remove toenail art and polish?

nail art foil
 on Nail Art New Years
nail art foil image

Josie W

When it comes to removing nail art from my fingers, I just put acetone into a little paper cup, but my toes are harder. I don't dare try to stick toes into a cup or I might knock it over onto the floor!

The art stuff(rhinestones, decals) is really hard to remove and it took me over an hour the last time to take it off my toenails. How do you remove yours?

Answer
Just soak a cottonball in nail polish remover and hold it to your toenails for a minimum of 5 minutes.
for it to actually stay on without you holding it, use aluminum foil.

How do I use nail art dotting tools?

You Know W

I want to use them, but I don't know how to get the nail polish on the tool.

Answer
Make a little puddle of the polish or the paint on a piece of paper or foil or something, and dip it into it. :)

My 21st birthday is on the 16th of this month (a Wednesday). That Saturday (the 19th) me and my family and friends are going out to a local club and I want to find something really cute to wear that night!

One outfit I'm trully considering is this one:
http://www.bodyc.com/catalog/1758/881a91f0e9fe3cd5d2acdebdbd2bb254
What do you think?

Do you know of any other websites with cute club-y type clothes like this? I went to greatglam.com but their clothes are a little too rique' for me.
Thanks!
Sorry, after going to the sites lissa m suggested I should probably say I'm in the Southern US, not the UK. When I saw all the prices weren't in dollars I freaked a bit, lol!
For Ihaveaquestion's answer, I'm not completely against the mall in my area. The main thing I don't like about it is it's basically a day care for kids whose parents don't feel like dealing with them and I have no patience for a 13 year old who thinks he/she's grown and tries to cop an attitude. The main reason I'm looking on the net is because I want to have a good idea of what to look for at the mall to save time.

Answer
Hey, I was looking through the other halter tops and since you are already familiar with this website, I'm trying to see what could work and make that what you picked out better - I'd like to see what it would look like open, not buttoned as a halter tuxedo jacket and put one of the two camis underneath, despite seeing straps, it may look funky -
pin dot cami under tuxedo top OR body central lace halter under tuxedo top OR
crocheted bodice baby doll - trend tops ( this one would be choice without tuxedo top) and use black choker jewelry and cute black sandals not el cheapo

And always, always dress it all up with Chanel nail polish!!!

How to label a beta biothane horse bridle?

horsin1787

My horse is at my mother's as of now, but we're going to be moving and taking the horse, and as such, all the tack with us as well to a boarding facility. Anyways, I want a really permanent/hidden way of labeling my beta biothane bridle and leather saddle, so that if it becomes "misplaced" it is easily reconizable.

Answer
If you go to the local police station - or perhaps a local bicycle club - you could ask to borrow their bicycle stamping kit - basically they are little lettered and numbered metal stamps. On clean and dry leather you can place the stamp required and use a hammer to lightly tap the stamp so that you get the letter or number stamped into the leather and then put a layer of clear nail polish over the stamp so that in future saddle soap and sweat and dirt does not get into it. If you do it near a buckle and on reins and martingales too, it is a perfect way of marking tack and does not ruin the look. Put the stamp under the stirrup flap, and on the inside of the saddle flap near the top. It is best to do every part of the bridle near a buckle so that someone cannot just replace one part of it.

I used to borrow our local police station's kit on a regular basis - two times a year and hold a tack marking day for my local riding club.

We usually put our post code, or zip code as you might call it, followed by the first letters of the name of our house, or the number of the house that we lived at. For example my house was called Appletree Cottage, and the post code was HP3 OLF - so my mark was HP3 OLFAC. I was cleaning my driving harness a few months back - it is never used, but cleaned once a year - and I saw that the stamp was just as good today as it was then.

How can I transport about 20 nail polish bottles and about 15 souvenir match books across country?

nail polish labels
on Nails Polish of Coca Cola | Jenny's Nail Polish Blog
nail polish labels image

mammajodi

I'm moving across country and the moving company states that they won't transport fingernail polish or matches. Are there restrictions with sending them by mail? How can I make sure they're safe when I transport them? I'm going to be flying by plane and I don't think I'm able to take these things along with me. The match books are collected from all over the world and I don't want to give them up. I don't want to part with my nail polish collection.

Answer
The matches can be placed in matchbook collection binder pages obtained from a hobby store and then packed in bubble wrap and shipped in a freight box labeled Educational materials; and should have no problem. 15 matchbooks weigh almost nothing and will be undetectable and will not ignite through friction because they are separated by soft plastic in the binder pages.
I would roll the bottles in bubble wrap and put into zip freezer bags and ship in a box packed with bubble wrap. They are also probably undetectable. Mark them collectibles-Fragile.
I tend to take those little chances and hope for the best.
It is when people try to ship large quantities to get rich that they run into problems.

Can I use nail polish remover instead of alcohol to clean a wound?

Elsewhere.

I'm in college and I have a small cut that is not healing very good but I don't have any rubbing alchohol or peroxide. Is it a good idea to use nail polish remover?

Answer
Read the label. If it says to keep away from broken skin or something along those lines, I'd say it's a bad idea. Full of acetone, sure its bad.

My pencils are like the size of my pinky nail, and pretty much are just the metal and used up eraser.

Answer
Oh, don't trash them yet ! Check out these amazing crafts you can make with these pencil stubs :

You could use them to make interesting & innovative crafts !

eg. picture frames. Glue them along the edges in 3 or more rows & add your artwork as a picture or any photograph, etc.
http://www.diydork.com/colored-pencil-picture-frame/ -- this one has pencils cut into exact lengths & glued at right angles to each edge. A simpler & relatively less formal way would be to glue the pencils [varying lengths] parallel to the edges.
Or like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWNi_gwggXc
Yet another way to make a frame : http://www.123rf.com/photo_10503702_frame-made-of-pencils-with-multi-color-border-featuring-mini-pencils-showing-the-concept-of-educatio.html

http://pinterest.com/pin/108016091032806485/ -- simple but lovely jewelry by cutting the pencils & stringing them.
I love the Beads that have been cut from these pencils ! You can use these to create a kind of collage artwork/composition.

http://www.worldsstrangest.com/neatorama/pencil-shoes/ -- Amazing ! Shoes/footwear made from color pencils.

http://www.countryliving.com/cm/countryliving/images/straw-vase-de-57819865.jpg -- easy to make vase. Instead of vase, you can use the container to keep your pens, pencils, brushes, etc. too.
You can also make Coasters & Table Mats or Runner in a similar fashion.

You can create beautiful artwork with color pencil shavings too - check these out : http://www.google.co.in/search?q=pencil+shavings+art&hl=en&client=opera&hs=Kfd&rls=en&channel=suggest&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=jqeAT9OyEYrSrQf8t7zvBQ&ved=0CCkQsAQ&biw=800&bih=489 You can use these to make wall hangings/pictures or greeting cards, bookmarks, etc. to gift to friends & family. You can also use the colorful shavings to adorn various items in/around your house. You can decorate gift boxes with the same.

You can actually make stuff with the pencils - it is after all wood. eg. you can make a cardboard frame/box [or use any cartons] & line up the pencils all over & glue. Add a hinge & decorate the interior [line it with velvet or fabric] & you have a beautiful box in which one can store trinkets, etc.

If you need to send out invitations, etc., you can use the longer pencils at 2 opposite ends of a paper or fabric to create a scroll that can be rolled in & out !

Invent any new game. eg. throwing a fistful on some board & then trying to toss them out of some line with some implement. Create rules with friends & play :)

Enjoy :-)

what is the best way to ask out a girl you have never spoken to?

Q. There' s this girl i've seen around school who i would like to ask on a date. The problem is that she doesn't know me and I don't know her. Any tips such as good conversation starters, etc. I'm open to anything.

Answer
Sheâs got you lovestoned and I think that she knows. Letâs just say as long as youâre slick with words, you can have any woman that you lust for. Look, itâs all about the confidence. Life is a game. Itâs called a confidence game. But what you have with you everytime you glance at her is fear. Now the question is: how do you nail the girl you desire? By installing the fear within her. With all the vital signs you have given me, it is clear to say that this girl is playing hard to get. And this is actually a good thing, because no matter what, girls like the attention even though you may think she is not interested in you. The best thing to do is always be yourself. Ask to see if she wants to go out to lunch or grab a quick bite to eat. Take her out to a movie or help her out with whatever she is currently doing (schooling, work, etc). Give her advice and make her feel special by being there by her side no matter what. For starters, if you wish to be sweet and calm as possible, tell her there is something on her cheek and that you want to get rid of it. She will obviously would like to know what it is, and you pretend to get the imagined dust particle off her face. Her question would be "What is it?" Your reply is: "Beauty" Works like a charm. Also, imagine that you are in need of the time; you approach her and ask for the time. She gives it to you and you say: "Wow, really? That late? Well, one thing's for sure, if beauty were time you'd be eternity." Well, if you wish to be more comfortable with this person that you yearn for, I would suggest for you to perhaps obtain her MSN address at best. The Art of Seduction is a difficult practise to master, but I shall give you a few pointers. Alright, so as you mention you don't know this person oh so well, hence her first reaction when you try to add you to her MSN list, would be "Who is this?" This is where you would have to play hard to get and say as followed: It's never easy meeting a complete stranger, especially one as beautiful as you, without being properly introduced. But shall we try anyway? This is (your name). You have probably seen me ....." Following so far? Then, depending on her reaction, you would need to say: "You have probably heard of (name insert or fellow colleague or anyone of that matter). He bet that I wouldn't be able to start a conversation with the most beautiful girl on MSN. How I am doing so far?" If you do manage to go on a first date with her, I suggest you get her flowers and pull this one on her enclosed as a message within an envelope signed by you: âYou should go and stand in front of a mirror and hold up 11 roses, so you would see 12 of the most beautiful things in the world.â It will make her go awwwww. Also, if you wish to show how much you care about her, I suggest you use the following tagline: âIf I had a rose for every time I thought of you I'd be walking in a garden forever.â Also, try getting her lingerie as a gift. If you are not ready for that quite yet, just tell her that you simply like her. Believe me; girls go like âAwww, how cute,â when they receive lingerie as a gift. These of course should be used when you get to know her better. Writing a poem however is definitely a good way to kick it off, believe me. If you get all Shakespearean on her, the better. If you need more advice, feel free to contact me.

Answer

What are products that do not test on animals?

paws

To be more specific I need to change all my essential items to those from companies that do not test on animals. Here is a list of the main ones Im looking for.
Shaving cream
toothpaste
toothbrush
lotion
makeup
shampoo and other hair products
contact solution
nail polish and nail polish remover
make up remover
toilet paper
paper towels
tissue paper (like kleenex)
razors

Any answers would be greatly appreciated! (:

Answer
You have lots of sources for cruelty-free shaving cream, lotions and other cosmetics. Nail polish remover is more difficult to find but I think No-Miss has 1 & they have lots of nail polish colors & other kinds of make up.

Good cruelty free companies include:
Jason (hair products, shaving cream, skin care, toothpaste etc.)
Aubry (hair care, skin care, some cosmetics)
Kiss My Face (skin care, soap, hair care)
No-Miss (cosmetics, nail polish)
Ecco Bella (cosmetics, cologne, hair care including *yummy* vanilla shampoo

Online stores (also check the websites of specific companies):
Cosmo's Vegan Shoppe
Pangea

Urban Decay is a bit pricy but has wonderful cosmetics & the vegan ones are marked as such.

Caution:
The Body Shop is famous for not testing on animals, but has been bought by a larger corporation that *does* animal testing, if I remember right.

Most bar soap contains animal ingredients, not to mention that many soap manufacturers test on animals. Watch out for words like "tallowate," which is derived from cow fat.

Someone said that food isn't tested on animals, but unfortunately some companies do test for some bizarre reason (maybe to receive govt. subsidies, as if they need them). POM pomegranite juice is one of them, and so is Mars candy, so no more M&M's for me. This testing involvces killing the animals to see if the product has an effect on muscle development etc. as well as killing a number of "control" animals for comparison.

Sorry, not sure which paper companies do or don't test.

Would I be allowed to begin charging people for their nails?

yoo!

I've been doing nail art, acrylic nails ect for around 2 years on myself family and friends, ive been learning myself. I'm at college studying travel&tourism, would it be possible to begin charging people and it being legal? I really want to make it a bit more public, I'd let people come to my house or I'd go to theirs. Would be reasonable prices as I'm struggling at getting a living while at college.

Answer
You won't need your lic! Of you doing it on the side then it should be nothing! Don't post ads about it but start charging for it! If your not doing a manicure just the designs charge lil 5-10 bucks and of you go to their place charge more! Start charging the people your doing now and tell them you need to make extra cash

What color should I paint my nails for prom?

Emily

My dress lilac or just a light purple and my heels are silver. What color should I paint my toes and nails?

Answer
If your dress is lilac, personally I would paint all your fingers purple/lilac (to match the dress) then decorate them with silver nail art on the top? Whatever you can do flowers, swirls, lines etc.. You could also add silver glitter to the design to make it pretty. And remember your top coat :)

Type in easy nail designs in images in google, lots come up. Also watch some YouTube videos if you don't know how :) If you are not very experienced I would say flowers are easy with using a dotting tool. Also little is more, maybe just do a few fingers if the design is quite big and smaller stuff on the rest, or just paint 2 nails on each hand. Or do smaller designs on all!

Don't do both the same colour on both your fingers and toes. For toes, you could maybe do a dark blue? If you choose dark blue maybe white nail art on your big toe only? Or a different colour, not something that will clash with the purple and look hideous!

Remember to leave yourself enough time to let them dry! Don't let them print otherwise they look bad. So leave time before you go to bed. Use a hair dryer/fan/lamp and dry your hands/toes or use a nail drying machine if you have one.

A trick I use it get someone else to tap their nail against yours after you have been waiting a while (10-15mins at least) and if it makes a clicking sound they are nearly dry. The louder the sound the dryer they are. If you feel a slight stick they are not done! Obviously don't do this when they are just painted as it will mess up the nail paint!!

For both your toes and fingers:

1. Base coat
2. Block colour (x2 if you need 2 coats)
3. Wipe off any mistakes on your skin with remover on cotton wool buds, or a remover pen.
4. Add nail art
5. Add a top coat
6. Add another top coat once all dry to make them super shiny and glossy.

I hope you have a great night and hope I helped :)

How do you get red finger nail polish out of carpet?

nail polish in carpet
on The nail polish you dropped on your carpet carelessly
nail polish in carpet image

Help!! My Daughter spilled finger nail polish on her carpet. I need to get this out I am selling my house and would rather not replace the carpet.

Answer
Remove as much as possible using a dull knife or spoon. apply non-oily nail polish remover to a clean white cloth and gently rub ( one direction at a time) or blot at the spot. Do not allow nail polish remove to get to the latex backing.

To remove the nail polish remover: Apply a small amount of detergent solution ( 1/4 teaspoon of Dawn or Joy hand washing dish soap to 1 qt. water). Blot with a white paper towel to work the detergent into the affected area. Next, spray lightly with water, but instead of blotting, apply a pad of paper towels, weight them down with a book or brick until dry then brush the pile up.
If stain remains, moisten tufts of carpet with 3% hydrogen peroxide and let stand for 1 hour. blot and repat until carpet is stain free. Because light will change peroxide to water, there is no reason to rinse. Apply a pad of paper towels and weigh them down until dry. Then brush up the pile of the carpet.

How can I clean nail polish off carpeting?

mikvegas50

Dog decided to try to do his nails, came home bottle of nail polish spilled on carpet. It's in three spots. Short of tearing up carpeting and replacing, would like to know if it can be cleaned with any cleaning agents.

Answer
100% pure acetone should work. Buy 3-5 bottles pour quite bit on the spot and dab it up(repeat as needed). It might take some time but eventually it will come up(depending on type of carpet). My son did the same to our living room carpet. I tried nail polish remover which after 20 min of scrubbing got 60% out. Then I tried the acetone(It is with the nail polish remover. Its just stronger and has no nail conditioner) it came right up in 5 min of blotting. Be careful this stuff will take the paint off your furniture. You may need to shampoo after for the smell.I cant even tell where the spot was on my carpet. It worked great.

Are these prices reasonable for getting my nails done?

nail art on instagram image

Trying to

So I want to get acrylic nails with a design painted on them.

the design I want it this: http://nailsartblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Pastel-Nails-Art-Instagram-Inspiration.jpg

even though in the picture it shows the design with gel nails, I don't want gel nails.

Just acrylic nails with the design.

The girl that I asked to do it for me said that it acrylics would be 35 dollars and 3 dollars for each nail. Which would be 3 times 10 nails or 30 dollars for just the design.

it would total being 65 dollars! is that reasonable at all? I think the price is very high for such a simple design.

Answer
It's kinda high for that simple of a design.
...but yet again, it's a VERY reasonable price in general and if you actually go to a real salon, it's still very reasonable. Most girls go to Wal*Mart to get them done, and that's just tacky and they usually want you to pay to much for it even though the quality sucks.

Cute nail art ideas, please!!!?

Adaryn

I need some cute, easy nail art designs that don't take a looooong time to do! Also, here's the nail polish inventory I have to work with:
Red
Maroon
Turquoise
Dark blue + glitter
Dark green
Green
Lime green + glitter
White
Silver glitter
Diamond glitter
Pink in every shade imagineable!!!!
White nail art brush
Black nail art brush

So... any ideas?

Answer
â¢You could do zebra stripes with either a turquoise (if it's light enough) or a hot pink & the black nail art brush.
â¢You could use a white nail art brush to paint on Chinese-like symbols or cherry blossoms (over red or pink polish)
â¢if you don't mind getting messy you could take pink, white, & green nail polish & do water marbling (http://m.wikihow.com/Create-a-Marble-Nail-Effect-Using-Water)
â¢Geometric patterns are very cool and easy
Note- if you have an instagram, follow @holymanicures for more ideas I love her stuff! Hope this helped! :)
