I have a lot of nail polishes and i wanted to be able to display and organize them better, but the nail polish racks I see online are really expensive. Does anyone have a creative/alternative way of displaying/organizing nail polishes?

Answer
I found a cosmetic organizers at target and i am able to color coordinate them and stack them, while still displaying them as they are clear. they were very in expesnsive, i think about five dollars each. you can find them in the organization/storage area.

What nail tutorials should I post on YouTube?

Morgan-ann

I am absolutely obsessed with painting my nails and I'd LOVE to show people how to do cute things. I can do just about anything with my nails. What are some ideas that I could post videos about on my YouTube channel?

Answer
So am I! Nail art has become very popular but some of the things I see are just not wearable or take time I don't have. Working with tape and making cool designs with lines are cool and gradient nails seem to be on trend. I would say play around with polishes to make a design that is fairly simple but more importantly is wearable for school or work. :) Good luck!

Answer
Hi, if you go to Opi.com, and find the tab "all colours" ( i think) they have a big pallete, and you can click on a colour you like, and it will show up on a picture of hands, and will have the colour name and collection itsfrom i believe.

Here are some light blue colours I found, that you might like:

What nail polish colors should i get? (Sinful Colors)?

i'm emma!

I have started to collect Sinful Colors Nail Polishes, and i have some reds, pinks, green, sparkly, and etc.

I want some colors or shades that are in, like coral-y colors, light colors, etc.

Only sinful colors nail polishes please!

Answer
I would recommend:
-Glass Pink: shimmery light pink
-Happy Ending: Granny Smith apple green
-Cinderella: baby blue with beautiful sparkle (it's pretty popular now)
-Green Ocean: flakie green/blue (also popular)
-Frenzy: blue and purple glitter
-Nail Junkie: blue-green glitter
-Pearl Harbor: duochrome glitter
-24/7: hot pink
-Unicorn: pastel yellow
-Mint Apple: dupe ofr OPI's Mermaid's Tears

Hmm I have a whole list of them I would recommend, but it all depends on the kind of polish finish you like... Keep in mind that many polishes from many brands are runny and they may look beautiful in a bottle, but they turn out to be 5 coaters.

So I'll be going to California in a few days and I'm planning to design my nails with some rhinestones. I'm thinking that since it's not metal or whatever that it won't beep when i pass through that metal detector thingy at the airport. but i'm not so sure. what do u guys think?

Answer
I believe that if the metal detector beeps, they will want to inspect the rhinestones, but since you are not a terrorist, look them in the eye and give them a straightforward and sincere answer. Most likely that they will let you pass. This has not happened to me before, though.

How to remove toenail art and polish?

Josie W

When it comes to removing nail art from my fingers, I just put acetone into a little paper cup, but my toes are harder. I don't dare try to stick toes into a cup or I might knock it over onto the floor!

The art stuff(rhinestones, decals) is really hard to remove and it took me over an hour the last time to take it off my toenails. How do you remove yours?

Answer
Just soak a cottonball in nail polish remover and hold it to your toenails for a minimum of 5 minutes.
for it to actually stay on without you holding it, use aluminum foil.

Title pretty much sums it up. I want to get some nail art brushes but whenever I see people using them they are using paint instead of nail polish. I'd rather not have to buy paint

Answer
Some girls try to get away with just using polish, but it doesn't look good unless you do it on a surface like a fake nail that can handle the polish. I recommend using an acrylic paint, though, if you're going to do any serious nail art.

I need advice for Hollister interview!?

soccergirl

I have an interview coming up, and I am applying for impact, so what questions should I expect?
Please no negative comments about Hollister.

Answer
Below are interviews, including questions, shared by people who applied at Hollister. Dress in Hollister attire, it helps or similar clothes (no brand name) NOT business casual. weekend availability is VERY VERY helpful)

store Associate Bellevue, WA
I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Hollister Co. in October 2013.
Interview Details â You apply in the store they call you to schedule an interview. It is a group interview. Go looking natural but still put together and probably wear their clothes (minimal makeup for girls). They ask you questions about working in a team, example of when you worked well on a project, what diversity means, how well you work with other people, etc.
Interview Question â This was not a hard question for me but I know one of the main reasons they do not hire people is because they cannot answer the question "what is diversity and what does it mean to you?

Impact Team Member Scottsdale, AZ
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Hollister Co. in September 2013.
Interview Details â The interviews are group interviews. Usually they're around 4-5 people. The questions they ask are moderately easy. I wouldn't have to say that the most difficult question would have to be what is diversity. Because apparently a lot of people don't know what it means but diversity is a huge part of the company. Interview Question â What is diversity?

Impact Team Member Columbus, OH
I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Hollister Co. in September 2013.
Interview Details â They only care if you're attractive without visible tattoos. I answered all the questions very ignorantly and still got the job.
Interview Question â They ask a lot of random questions like when do you feel like you worked as a team in school, when do you feel you helped someone out or helped people, what's your hobbies etc

Impact Team Member Seattle, WA
I applied online - interviewed at Hollister Co. in August 2013.
Interview Details â Chilled interview, and just look like one of the hollister employee (goggle their current AAA and look policy), dress navy white or grey. Answer the questions like high school girls/jock guys. They hire lot of seasonals so apply that time and you'll mostly get in.
Don't worry if they don't call you the first time, I got the job after interviewing three times lol.
Interview Question â What is Diversity?(The most ridiculous one)

Part Time Impact Glendale, CA
I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Hollister Co. in August 2013.
Interview Details â They ask about 3-4 questions. It varies but I got the following
1) Define style of store?, 2) Name a time where you had to meet a deadline and accomplish it?.
3) What are your hobbies? 4) What does diversity mean to you, and in the workplace?
Interview Question â #4. They almost ALWAYS ask that question.

Interview Question sâ What is Diversity?( major hiring question) What is your strengths, weaknesses? How do you handle stressfulchallengingg situations?
as possible regarding the technical question, business case, etc.

Try and look like the models look.
1) Wear natural makeup. No bright colors, cat-eye liner, thick mascara, etc.
2) No nail polish or just light, sheer pink.
3) Natural looking hair.
4) You don't need to wear their clothes, but skinny jeans with a tank top, plaid, or sweater (depending on season) is great. Simple. Even better if you wear navy.
5) Men clean shaven, no tattoos, nails clean, hair neat,

I just have a buttload of extra gummy bears, and today I decided to turn them into earrings with a protective coat of clear nail polish. It's turning out really well. I don't want to bug everyone at my high school to buy them when the money goes to me and not a real cause (though I do really need the money), so I was thinking about selling them and other candy jewelry on a website or something. How do I go about doing that?

I totally love it! For the Fourth of July, I painted the American Flag on my nails. I love doing the small work with the nail pen. I also love using glitter, it looks good with pretty much anything. Nail art usually doesn't come off that easily if you put a clear coat over the art.

My favourite nail polish is a baby pink matte, and it starts cracking after like a day or two. It then starts chipping off. How can i stop this from happening?

Answer
Make sure not to apply too many coats of nail polish. I like to get really good brands that only need 2 coats. That way even if my nail bends, the polish won't chip.

Would it be bad for the baby bunnies if I tipped their ears with nail polish?

Mmmhmm

I want to tip their ears with nail polish so I can tell them apart because some of them have the same color, Would this be okay? or could they accidentally ingest it and die or get sick?
No, I don't want to do it to make it cute, but thanks for taking it that way! <.< No, I wanted to do it so I could tell them apart.

Answer
There are many ways to mark your bunnies to tell them apart. I would not use nail polish. There are options like nontoxic markers in an area where they don't usually clean like the back of their head, or food coloring. Always put anything like that in a place that the rabbit does not clean, even if you think the substance is non toxic that usually is only completely true for humans, and only use the smallest amount possible and only of fur, not on skin. The best option is really to watch them and figure out for yourself what the differences are. Many times it is the personality differences that really help you tell them apart.

I have seen movies where the actors had on nail polish. And that seems like it would be fake. If so, did men and women both wear it?

Answer
Yes they colored thier nails
No they didn't have nail polish like in the movies

Unlike many other cosmetics that have a history of hundreds or even thousands of years, nail polish (or lacquer, or enamel) is almost completely an invention of twentieth century technology. Nail coverings were not unknown in ancient timesâthe upper classes of ancient Egypt probably used henna to dye both hair and fingernailsâbut essentially, its composition, manufacture and handling reflect developments in modern chemical technology.

www.madehow.com/Volume-1/Nail-Polish.html

There are historic records of nail colouring in ancient societies of China and Egypt, where colour signified social class. In China, it is done by mashing together the petals of impatiens flower and alum. Applying this mixture to nails for a few hours or overnight leaves a color ranging from pink to red.

Originally made of natural pigments, modern nail polish is similar to car paint, and requires a polish remover such as acetone to remove. Modern nail polish was invented by Michelle Ménard in the early 1920s.

Is it okay to use automotive paint on your nails as an alternative to nail polish?

James

Answer
Please, if you will, read over these four types of automotive paint. Would you want these toxic paints on your nails? How would you take it off? Homemade paint stripper can be made from either a borax and ammonia mixture or washing soda. These would be extremely toxic for your nails and skin. In a word, please, please - just buy a bottleof nail polish at the drugstore.

"The four basic types of paint available today are: acrylic lacquer, acrylic enamel, acrylic urethane and water-based. Weâll drop âacrylicâ and simply refer to them as lacquers, enamels, urethanes and water-based.

Lacquer-based auto paint was popular between the mid 1920s and 1960s, and is still available today, though it has become illegal in certain areas. Lacquer paint is cheap and goes on easy for the inexperienced painter, plus it provides a nice high gloss. However, it also chips easily being a relatively âsoftâ paint, and it doesnât stand up well to UV and chemicals, making it a short-lived paint job. Lacquer auto paint is available in aerosol spray cans and for use with spray guns, but is not generally recommended.

Enamel paints dry to a hard shell making them tougher than lacquer paints. Professional shops bake on enamel paint in heated bays or "ovens," but enamels are also available in aerosol cans and for use with spray guns. Enamels, while tougher than lacquer, do not lay down as easily as lacquer paint, making them trickier for the Do-It-Yourselfer (DIYer) to apply. This translates to more finishing work. Some enamel colors require a clear topcoat, known as a two-stage system, while others can be used alone, referred to as a single-stage system.

Urethane paints are newer than enamels, are more expensive and more trouble, but they lay down easily like lacquer while having the toughness of enamels. This auto paint requires three products: the color, a reducer to thin the color to the right viscosity for the spray gun, and a catalyst used to accelerate drying time. Once the paint is mixed, it must be used quickly and unused paint must be discarded. Urethane auto paint is highly toxic, and though a facemask is standard for all paint jobs, gloves, coveralls, and a respirator are mandatory for working with urethane auto paint.

Like enamels, urethanes can be used alone or in multi-stage paint systems that utilize a final protective clearcoat. A two-stage urethane paint system is the most recommended system as it provides easy-on paint, minimum finish work, and optimum results: a paint job that, with a little care, can look brand new year after year. Urethane clearcoat is also purchased as three products: clear, reducer and catalyst to be used with a spray gun, though there is form of urethane clearcoat available in an aerosol can.

The newest auto paint technology has brought us non-toxic water-based paints. These paints are the most versatile of all, able to be applied to metal, primer, or to an existing paint job. Water-based auto paint is especially popular for use in adding graphics to a vehicle or motorcycle, but can also be used to paint the entire vehicle. Being non-toxic this choice is perfect for the DIYer to use in the home garage, however it does require a topcoat of clear urethane to protect the paint.

Water-based paint is no doubt the future of the auto paint industry, however the line of colors is still expanding. If looking to add graphics or change your vehicleâs color, water-based auto paint is an option. If looking to re-paint a panel with a need to match factory paint, you might have to wait for the introduction of pre-mixed factory colors, or let a professional shop do the job for you."

michelle k

Hi. Ok so I start school next week and this is my final schedule for my sophomore year:

1) Organic Chemistry 1
2) Organic Chemistry 1 Laboratory
3) Human Physiology
4) Abnormal Psychology
5) Understanding the Dance (a Creative Arts Requirement)
6) Spanish 001 OR a Humanities Requirement. (I am hoping for the Spanish)

Total Credits: 16

How does this sound? Too easy, medium, hard, doable?

Also, is it ok to start Physics 1 my Spring Semester and complete Physics 2 the first part of the summer--meaning I should be done with it by June 10. So I have the rest of the summer to prepare for MCAT. Or should I be taking physics concurrently with organic chemistry? Thanks!

Answer
16 hours sounds like a good schedule if you are pretty smart, It is wise strategy to focus the first 3 items on your list and Spanish might not be a good choice for you unless you can already Speak the language. You will be competing with other students who are native speakers and already speak Spanish. They go for the easy A. Physics would be a better choice it is not too difficult a class, in spite of what you may have heard. Hope you are already an honors student in chemistry. Organic chemistry was grueling for me and it brought my grade point to 2.5

It takes almost a 4 point average to get accepted into med school.

When I took my MCAT , side note:
I overheard someone talking to a friend in the hall He said " this is the second time I've taken the exam. I'm going to nail it. I took some amphetamines last year. and I purposely missed some questions, so they wouldn't suspect." (ha, ha)

What can I get these friends of mine for christmas?

3. Quite close friend. She is very tomboyish and loves football. Its always hard to get her something because shes not that girly- though she is getting better! lol I only want to spend about £5 on her
4. Other friends. They said they are getting me a tricket? I dont even know what that is but they said they want one to? I dont want to spend all that much on them but I still want it to be nice! lol x

Go to Walmart. They sell all sizes of carts with drawers. I have two; a tall skinny one with three deep drawers and 4 short drawers and a three drawer cart that's wide and deep. You can get these cute little basket trays at Big Lots to put in the drawers if you want to separate things out like a basket for mascaras, or nail polishes, etc.

Help with 9 year old beauty spa birthday party ideas?

nmk

Having a birthday party for my nine year old daughter and 11 friends. Does anyone have any inexpensive beauty ideas like face masks? Easy kid friendly finger foods? We want to set up chairs in a circle with relaxing music kinda like a spa day. Any great hints will truly be appreciated. Cute games? Planned on doing fingernails and makeup.

Answer
I will give you a few links to face masks that you can make with basic around the home things. You could either make them while the girls are playing a game or let them help you.

http://www.buzzle.com/articles/homemade-face-masks-facial-mask-recipes.html

Be sure to have cucumber slices for them to put on their eyes, for fun.

Obviously, you won't be able to give actual manis and pedis, but you can of course paint their fingers and toes. Either use the colors you have at home, or let you daughter help pick out some new colors. Maybe you could pick up some nail pens as well, this allows you to make designs on nails with ease. Or nail stickers would work.

After facials, do makeup. Of course, most nine year olds don't wear makeup yet, so do it subtle. This way the parents won't freak, but the girls get to have fun. Have assorted light pinks/tans/browns for eyeshadow, a brown mascara, a light pink blush, and light pink and clear glosses. To prevent infections, buy disposable applicators (Walgreens, Walmart, etc.). Apply it all lightly, especially mascara.

After their nails, makeup, and facials are done, do their hair. Make sure to have clips and pony holders that they can take home, so they don't have to undo their hair. Do things like curls, low ponys, high ponys, side ponys, bang poofs, etc.

For games that they can play, google it. Look for games that can be played while they are getting their spa treatments done (so sitting down) as well as normal party games. SOrry I can not be of more help here.

Little finger sandwiches, pasta salad, pretzels, fruit, cheese/crackers, veggies/dip, and chocolate covered strawberries would all be good foods for them.

Background music could be classical music or your daughter's favorite songs without words. Or with words - who cares?

To create a spa atmosphere, don't go all out with 'birthday' decorations. Have comfy pillows/cushions laying all over the ground near the 'spa'. Maybe have a few glass bowls sitting on side tables. Float flowers and votive candles in them. Very pretty. Of course, don't light the candles. Also have flowers in vases scattered about. Maybe a few balloons and streamers in colors like lilac, baby pink, mint green, etc.

For the invites, cut out lipstick and nailpolish shapes from colored paper. In sequins/fake diamonds, writde - Come to (name)'s SPArty on (date! Don't miss out on a fun spa day, right here at (name)'s house. We will provide the spa treatments, be sure to dress comfy and bring a cute outfit for the special photo shoot!

After they have all their spa treatments, do a photo shoot. Have props for them to use and take pictures with your digital. Print the pictures off you computer on picture paper before the party is over. Have them wear their special outfits for this.

For the pedis, have them soak their feet in a bowl of soapy water before hand.

Have the girls seated in a circle in chairs for the spa.

Have plastic wine glasses or bright plastic cups for them to drink lemonade / flavored water from.

Be sure to have cupcakes for the birthday cake.

Goodie Bags - Buy one or two bags of little Dove chocolates. Split up the bag(s) evenly between all 12 girls. Have one bottle of nail polish for each girl. Buy assorted colors. A little bottle of body spray - fruity- would be nice. Along with a bottle of fruity lotion. Finish the bag off with a nice little (cheap) piece of jewelry and/or sunglasses. You can buy the glasses at Gymboree for only $4 or so. You could also do cheap little plastic watches/ hair accessories.

and i'm 13 years old, medium skin tone, and i have dark brown eyes, light brown hair with blond highlights at the top, making a hat. and it's shorter than my face.

here are the colors of nail polish i own: clear, periwinkle, blue, red with sparkles, yellow, green, clear with sparkels and hearts inside, light pink, silver nail art thin brush.

something simple please, the party is tommorow, and i'm not very good with nail polish, i cant do like little designs that are detailed, just streaks letters dots hearts circles stuff like that.

How do you get nail polish out of a carpet?

i_dunno_<3

yea....I accidently spilled a LITTLE bit (a not-so-little amount) of nail polish on my carpet, and I'm trying as hard as I can to get it out, but nothing is working...any suggestions?

Answer
There are some easy steps to try to help remedy the situation. Followed closely, you may be able to save your carpet.

1. Pour dry cleaning fluid over the stain and let it soak for a minute
2. With a white clean cloth, blot dry it.
3. Apply a small amount of mild liquid detergent to the stain before it sets in.
4. Blot dry it once again with a cloth.
5. Saturate the carpet stain with water.
6. Blot dry the stain with a cloth again
7. With a very small amount of ammonia, pour it on the stain
8. Blot dry it again.
9. Apply more liquid detergent to the stain.
10. Blot dry again.
11. Saturate the area with water again and blot one last time.

Hopefully with these steps you will be successful in getting nail polish out of your carpet. You can purchase dry cleaning fluid from home supply stores, dry cleaners, and grocery stores.
It is important that before you use any of the cleaning solutions on the carpet to test them out in an area that can not be seen before applying them to a large obvious area. It is necessary to use a white cloth rather than a colored cloth because the dye from the cloth can transfer onto the carpet making it an even bigger mess.
When you blot out the stains, keep turning the cloth so that each time you blot you are using a clean, dry sectioni to pick up the stain and the cleaning fluids from the carpet. Never rub it in! Rubbing it in can cause the stain to get deeper into the carpet, making removal harder.
Often times when people spill nail polish on their carpet, the first thing they grab is nail polish remover. This is not a good idea. Nail polish may bleach the carpet. The best way to try to get nail polish out of the carpet is by using the above steps.

How can you safely remove nail polish from leather?

kimberly M

I have a black leather coat that has a few nice size spots of pink nail polish on it. Im scared to use nailpolish remover or anything like that. Im sure Id end up with a worse mess. I appreciate your help!

Answer
Never tried this so I'm not sure if it works, but it may be worth a try...

Remove Nail Polish Stains From:
Leather, Suede

Carefully scrape excess with a dull knife or spatula. Mix a solution of mild soap in lukewarm water. Swish to create a great volume of suds. Apply only the foam with a sponge, but avoid spreading the stain. Dry with a clean cloth. If the polish has hardened, try gently rubbing an artgum eraser across it. As a last resort, cautiously file the area with an emery board or a piece of very fine (grade 6/0-8/0) sandpaper. As a thin layer of hide is removed, work carefully.

I like to paint my nails but i dont have like stuff for designs. I want an idea of stuff i should get.

Answer
get nailpolish with a striper brush. these are loooong and slim brushes so that you can create lines and whatnot easier. you can also get a dotting tool to create perfect circles on your nails. they range in sizes. if you want to make it really detailed, you can get a nail art brush. theyre tiny tiny thin brushes so that you can draw on your nails. ORRR you can just buy a tiny tiny art brush and just use that. i suggest you check this youtube guru out! shes comes up with the best designs and simple tutorials. http://www.youtube.com/user/cutepolish she has a video on how you can make your own dotting tool! i hope this helped(:

What are the essential makeup supplies a girl should have?

harley gir

i don't use any makeup at all and i am thinking of getting some stuff to start with. what should I get? I also don't have a lot of nail polish. what colors should I get?

Answer
All you need are a good set of tools and some basics and practice. For tools, I suggest you get the Borghese set of brushes from Costco. They are around $20-$25 and have a great range of brushes small to large. The kit even comes with explanations on what each brush is for. It was also recommended in Makeup Artist magazine as a great beginner kit.

A beautiful makeup starts with a good face. A simple routine is:

1. Wash your face with anti-bacterial soap. It is so simple, and it's something my aesthetician friends and cosmetologists taught me.

2. Wash with Ponds Deep Cleanser and Make-up Remover. Very moisturizing and clean.

3. Use a nice toner like Clean and Clear Cooling Daily Pore Toner. Light scent, VERY mild.

4. Moisturizer: Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer. Very light and clean, but also has a 45 SPF. 45 SPF never felt so comfortable before this.

All you really need to look good is some concealer for putting in key areas, not foundation all over the face. I like to use MAC concealers, they have a great texture and blend well. Go in and test them. Just remember not to squeeze out too much because a little bit goes a long way.

If you do want a foundation, a great store brand is Cover Girl's Advanced Radiance. It's a slim pump bottle. The display has something that makes it really simple to find the right shade. Take their little card and hold it to your skin; whichever color disappears against your skin is the shade for you. I found it ingenious because I'm a professional makeup artist and use all sorts of brands from MAC to less known industry standard makeup. Here, you don't have to have any skill and you can still find the perfect makeup shade without having to go to an expensive counter and hope the sales artist gets it right. And honestly, I've hired some of those girls, and their experience ranges from amateur to expert. I don't like to hope for good luck myself. The product is smooth and blends really perfect. It's light and I had no creasing. To get it perfect, grab a mirror and hold the card to your face. Yeah, I said to your skin, so wash your face after, but you'll get the color match exact!

For eyes, if you like a defined brow, use a brow brush (small and cut at an angle, and softly fill. You can always add more product. To do eyeshadow, start with a palette that has many colors so you can practice. Some simple ideas are earthtones or doing one shadow on the lid and then a highlight at the corner of the brow beneath the end of the eyebrow. There are more detailed ideas, but start easy. Experiment in your free time and take pictures so you can see or repeat what you did. A lot of people will also coordinate and take a color or several colors from their outfits. In the beginning, just start with 1 color.

For lashes, Cover Girl Volume Exact is clean and easy. Just do a tight, quick, swirl with the brush to keep the application clean and clump free.

Basically, it's like anything you want to learn to do well: talk to people who do it, like friends, here online, at makeup counters. Practice. Buy good tools and supplies. Everything good doesn't HAVE to be from the counter, but wonderful things ARE at the counter too.

There are wonderful and easy things to do with blushes, creams, lip glosses, liners, lipsticks, but these are also the best places to just start experimenting.

I've put the Makeup 411 site below, it has great breakdowns (explanations and supply lists) of what artists have used on their actors.

Also, I added links that are great starter resources. Makeup Alley is great because it's got lots of reviews on ALL SORTS of products. So far, I've been able to find reviews on EVERY product I typed in, and that's saying a lot for me.

Oh yeah, and whatever you do, when you go to counters, don't believe the hype, don't get intimidated. Makeup is an art and I've met all sorts of people. Everyone can do it. I know I sound like the chef character in Ratatouille, but I'm serious. I have met a lot of people of all types who never did it before, and once I started teaching them, they picked it up and ran with it. Mistakes and success, a sense of beauty, esteem, or creativity, it's all about learning and building and having fun. Experiment with anything you want, from subtle and barely there to cutting edge and pro.

Good luck and have fun,
Margaret

What do Dominican people look like?

Q. I heard they are a HOT nationality.
So what do they look like?
If you have a picture can you let me see please.

Answer
I have traveled all over the world and I think Dominicans are some of the most beautiful people in the world.

They are a mix of mostly Hispanic and Black with some Taino Indian in some cases. When a Dominican is good looking, they are VERY good looking. The woman who play Uhura in the last Star Trek movie was half Dominican:

These are some famous singers:

Also there are tons of Dominican men in baseball like David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez. Dominicans range from very Hispanic looking to licorice black for people with Haitian blood.

One thing Dominicans have going for them is they are very well groomed: they keep their clothes immaculate and stay clear of the Gangsta culture. You don't see a lot of guys walking around in sneakers and if you do, most people think they are punks. They are fantastic dancers and really know how to sweet talk the ladies. Women often spent two or three days a month in the salons getting their hair and nails done. The bottom line is it's not just what they have but what they do with it.

I'm bored of femo and kawaii nail art?

Jenna Zani

Can anyone recomend any other nail art types i can try?

thanks beautiful ladies x

Answer
OMG if you've mastered fimo and kawaii, I don't know what can beat it!! Lol. I can't think of anything as flashy, being that those are 3D designs, but there are some other things you can try. Water Marbling is really fun and interesting, you could look into Konad and water decals, do a gradient mani. For water marbling, I suggest looking up MySimplePleasures (http://www.youtube.com/user/SimpleLittlePleasues) on YouTube because I think she does the most amazing marbles.

This is my blog, and here are two water marbles I have done:

http://sugarmedic88.blogspot.com/2011/04/fun-bright-summerspring-water-marble.html
http://sugarmedic88.blogspot.com/2011/06/spring-wedding-nails.html

Here's some Konading that I've done:

http://sugarmedic88.blogspot.com/2011/06/bleu-hydrangea-with-stamping.html

http://sugarmedic88.blogspot.com/2011/04/all-rose-lead-to-rome-matte-with-konad.html

There's also tape mani's you could try. Again, not as exciting and flashy as 3D nail art, but still fun. Chloe does some awesome tutorials on how to do them:
