I've recently been doing my own nails. I live on youtube, so i'm always looking for new designs that I can do. My issue is that when I do my nails, the next day I have to redo them. What nail polishes are the best, but are inexpensive. Thanks In Advance.

I've found that with nail polishes, you never really know how well they'll work, & price isn't always a guarantee. Like for example, I don't really like Orly nailpolishes, & Revlon (I don't like ANY of their polishes,they chip the fastest) makes one that's twice as much as their regular nailpolishes,but it chipped super fast. And then with the cheaper ones, you never really know-like with Wet n Wild, their regular 0.99 cent ones chip fast, yet they make a 1.99 one that lasts awhile. So it can be a crap shoot. But there's a few in general that I really like that are very inexpensive. Sinful Colors is good, it stays on pretty good, & is usually around $2 or $3. And Sally Hansen X-treme Colors I think they're called (the ones in like a more cylinder shaped bottle) stay on well,& they're about $3 or so. And Sally Hansen Hard as Nails is good too,& also around $3. I also like Milani, which is a little more,like $4.50. There are two really off brands I love that you may not be able to find-Confetti, and then there's one called Ruby Kisses. Ruby Kisses is some of the most long lasting nail polish I've ever used,& it's $1. And I've used Confetti's clear as a top coat,& I swear, it makes any nail polish last longer & it's $2. I know it's alot I've mentioned, but different stores carry different stuff, & also everyone keeps mentioning Essie, which I love too, but Essie is $8. I don't consider that very inexpensive.

Where I live we have Dollar stores or even like a 99 Cent store. I'm pretty sure all states have these types of stores. Nail polish can run expensive for a name brand, but I think a generic woks just as well. Try to get a fast drying one, I've always had good luck with those!

Zebra stripes wold be super cute. So would vertical stripes, you could also write each letter of your name on each one of your nails, you even your nickname. A simple french tip would be nice as well. (:

my fav is zebra print ! it is easy to do and you can polish your nails any color first and then get a black nail art pen for the strips .. or you can do the stripes in any color using a paint brush and nail polish ,,, there are a bunch of nail art websites for ideas just google it and see what you like ...

on purpose though, you will poison yourself if it contains acetone and possibly die. if non acetone it will also poison you but you wont die. it will not whiten your teeth

It wont poison you, but instead I would use red food coloring. It will work a lot better and not stick to your skin.

Well here is the DoJo Rules Shito Ryu (my style) Karate

1. Treat everyone with courtesy.

2. Karate-ka (students) will bow when entering and before leaving the dojo.

3. Karate-ka will maintain a serious attitude at all times. No profanity or loud talking in the dojo.

4. Do not criticize other karate-ka.

5. No rings, watches or other jewellery may be worn during class.

6. All karate-ka will comply with the dojo health rules. Personal hygiene (cleanliness) is essential. Finger and toe nails should be clipped short.

7. All karate-ka must wear a clean white karate-gi (no rips, holes or tears) and a karate belt of grade tied securely around the waist at all times.

How do I organize my nail polish?

I LOVE painting my nails, I'm obsessed with nail art. I have over 70 bottles of nail polish (I know that's a lot) but I have it in a box right now. I tried putting stickers on them and painting the stickers so I know what color is what. I've tried separating it by color but all the bottles are different sizes and shapes so it's complicated to keep it together. I want a DIY way to organize it along with all my tools such as dotting tools, nail wheels and what not. Is there anything I could buy at like Walmart and Target that can keep my nail polish neat and organized? I don't want a caboodle, I can't find one big enough to fit everything. I want to be able to stand my nail polish up, and have tiny compartments. I've tried using a box and cutting up straight pieces to make my own compartments but it isn't working.

You could try going to Wal-mart and finding colorful cute boxes there to put your nail polish. I am obsessed with painting my nails too, i also have many different shapes and sizes bottles of nail polish. I organize them by the brand the nail polish is, or put the smaller bottles on the front while the taller bottles are in the back, Or like i said before, you could try going to Wal-mart or Target and find Organizers there like a wall rack,nail polish makeup cases, and for an easy find to find you nail polishes, add stickers of the color that's in the container, hope this helps ! I was using Beauty Secrets base coat from Sally's and good nail polishes such as Sally Hansen and L'oreal. I also use Beauty Secrets and Rush top coats. I've noticed that the polish will peel of in a few hours. What base coats do you recommend?

I have been buying the most random goddamn colors of nail polish based on if they appeal to me as being a "pretty color" and not on the basis they look good on my nails or match anything that I wear.

So instead of just RANDOMLY BUYING THINGS I'd like some opinions of colors that are "necessary" to have. This means they go good with everything or can be utilized in a variety of different ways.

I love OPI very much, but normally, I only buy the mini packages. I have around 70 bottles of them.


For me, I like bold & bright color as well as neon color and glitter. I don't really like nude or soft color for my nail polishes.

Important - Always read and follow the care instructions and any warnings provided by the carpet manufacturer. Rugs and carpets with natural fibers and/or certain dyes may require special treatment. If in doubt contact a cleaning professional for advice/service. Also follow these General Rules for stain treatment.



Remove as much of the nail polish as possible using a spoon or dull knife.

Apply a non-oily nail polish remover to a clean white cloth and gently rub (in only one direction at a time) or blot the spot. Continue until spot is removed. Do not allow nail polish remover to get to the latex backing. Go to the next step to remove nail polish remover.

Apply a small quantity of detergent solution to the spot. (To make the detergent solution mix 1/4 teaspoon of a hand dish washing detergent which does not contain lanolin or bleach with 1 quart of water; examples of safe detergents are Dawn® and Joy®.) Use a blotting motion to work the detergent into the affected area. If spot is being removed continue applying detergent and blotting with a white paper towel until spot is removed.

Rinse with tap water using a spray bottle, blot to remove excess moisture.

Spray lightly with water, do not blot this time; apply pad of paper towels and brick and allow to dry.

If there is still some stain on the carpet and blotting is not removing it, then moisten the tufts in the stained area with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Let stand for on (1) hour. Blot and repeat until carpet is stain free. Light will cause peroxide to change back to water so no rinsing is necessary. Apply pad of paper towels and weight down with brick.

Or, worse case scenario just put a piece of furniture over it. LOL

hang a quilt rack (forgot no nails) maybe cement nails......I was gonna say to hang one of your grandparents or just a quilt of your liking on the wall to match the things you already have,but that's a hard question when you can't paint or hang...another would be to frame your fav. posters and prop in the corners or along side the wall, maybe a big easil with one proped on it ...good luck and sorry I couldn't help out more...

I'm being a Pink Lady from Grease for Halloween?

My friend and I are dressing up as pink ladies. We have the pink jacket, black glasses, and white shirt so far. We're just not sure if we should we black leggings or just black skinny jeans, black converse or pink converse, or black flats. Also, what accessories would a pink lady wear? Like jewelry, nail polish color, hair style? Thanks!

Black leggings all the way, and black flats. In the 50s, I don't think there were converses. A fake, plastic diamond ring, maybe a pearl necklace, glittery pink nail polish, bright pink lipstick, over-exerated eyeshadow&blush and an updo, like Frenchy in the movie! :D

How did it come to this?

When did men become so pussified? eyeliner, 2 hours in the morning fixing their hair, nail polish. Why is it like this? How did we go from the Strong, manly, type of person that was in the 40s-50s and now into this incredibly feminine style of now. And why did this happen?

Most marshmallows have gelatin in them (try the Sweet 'n' Sara brand; they're veggie-friendly) and a lot of yogurt and cottage cheese does as well. Also, Pizza Hut puts "beef essence" in its pizza sauce, so even a vegetable pizza there is a no-no.

Also, a lot of shampoos and some cosmetics contain collagen. Some cheese is made with rennet (look for those made with microbial or vegetable enzymes instead).

Read the labels on _everything_. Just last week I bought some Green Giant Broccoli and Carrots with Garlic and Herbs. Got it home and discovered it has gelatin in it!

Are there any good white nail polishes out there?

My sister wants French tips for her graduation but I can't find a white polish that isn't crappy, I've bought three. Essie Marshmallow, NYC French White Tip, and another I can't remember. Any suggestions?

Try revlon or Loreal. Just go to target and look at all different brands that have white. At my store there's about 10. If your problem is it looks too clear once you put it on then open the bottle before you buy it and you should be able to tell if it's thick enough. White's a tricky color.

Is it true people living in London hate it there?

From everything I have heard and watched on TV people really want to get out of London. I have never been outside of the U.S. and England seems so beautiful and full of history and civil behavior. I always dreamed of seeing it. What is wrong with London? Are other areas in England O.K.?

London can be dirty, depressing, unfriendly and expensive. It's also one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world with some of the best theatre, art galleries, museums, public buildings, green spaces, modern architecture, history, pomp and ceremony, traditions, restaurants, bars and hotels in the world.

It really is the centre of the world financially, socially and artistically. The variety of everything from food to music is staggering and the work opportunities are immense if you have the qualifications, ambition, good work ethic and determination to succeed. There is also nowhere like it to make friends with people from all over the world.

I lived in London for years and loved it. It would never have crossed my mind to live and work anywhere else on a permanent basis, although I have lived in several countries through work for reasonably long periods.

However, having now moved away permanently, I would absolutely hate to move back. Once you live outside London and have space, a bigger house and garden, peace and quiet, no real rush hour, clean hair and nails at the end of each day and don't feel the need to do everything at a hundred miles an hour, you look back and wonder how you did it all.

I was lucky and was able to afford to live in nice areas of London. If I lived in some parts in a 70s high rise on an estate rife with drugs and crime, then yes, I'd be dying to get out too.

Like every capital city, London is not representative of the rest of the country. It's a one-off. Just as Paris is completely different to the rest of France or New York is unlike anywhere else in the States. Capital cities always have a unique feel and life of their own in comparison the rest of the country.

How do i get rid of a nail polish stain on my carpet?

Nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol.

Tip #1: Any non-acetone finger nail polish remover will take that off and not hurt the carpet. Take a paper towel soak it down a little and wipe it off. Try to keep the area contained that you rub, at first it will look like you are smearing it around, just keep changing paper towels with a new one until stain is gone. You need to change your cloth several times so you're not sliding polish over a bigger area. When done a liquid dish soap will get the smell out of the carpet.

Tip #2: I use the polish remover and blot, then GooGone works to remove the remaining stain.

Tip #3: When I spilt fuschia nail polish on my carpet I saturated it with non-acetone nail polish remover and scrubbed it with a white cloth. After the color stopped coming out on cloth (and it was still slightly pink on the carpet) I made a mixture of liguid dish soap, hot water and bleach and continued scrubbing until the nail polish came out (for white carpets only). If that doesn't work for you try using a fabric marker from a craft store and color over the stain.

Tip #4: I spilled dark purple nail polish on my light grey carpet. When I tried nail polish remover it didn't do a thing. Then a friend told me to try window cleaner and it worked great. I can't even tell it happened.

I accidentally bought some gel nail polish by itself, without any undercoat, topcoat, or light, so I think I'm kind of screwed.

What would happen if I just let it dry naturally?

It wouldn't dry properly, it would still have a gel type texture. It wouldn't just rub off but basically if you hit the nail against something it might come off onto that and leave a chunk of nail polish missing or at the very least leave a dent in the polish. It would be nearly impossible to keep them looking right for more than a day if that.

If it is just a drop. Do not try to wipe it. Let it dry. it will form a hard shell. in the morning it should be dry. Then just slip the carpet. Brush and no one will see it. If it is a bunch,like the bottle spilled. Get some dryer pads and dab from a corner and work towards the center. Then gets some baby powder to soak up the remaining .

1. You need, any colour nail polish, nail polish remover, clear nail polish, peices of newspaper, or books.
2. Paint your nails, wait for them to dry then place the newspaper over it anyway you want.
3. Apply nail polish remover, waiit for like 40 seconds or whenever you think it is ready then peal it off.
4. Cover the layer with the shiny clear nail enamel to make it look more proffessional.
Light colours like light blue or Aqua green suit it better than red
