Yesss Lope

we wanna do marble nail art. btw does it need to warm or cold water? any tips thanks.

Answer
I saw video of water marbling nail art on youtube and thought it was so cool. So i just decided to see if it'd work with me. And it actually worked pretty good. If you search, marble nail art, or water marbling nail art on youtube you'll come up with many tutorials and tips. But what i did was took a plastic cup, and filled with room temperature water and then used sally Hansen and N.Y.C nail polishes. They seemed to work well. Put tape around your fingers to keep them from getting the polish on them as well. You can use a toothpick to make the design in the paint and pick up excess nail polish after your nail is dunked. Hope this helped :)

When do water marble nail art, does it matter if you use scotch or masking tape?

Justine

I love the way the water marble nail art looks & I can't wait to try it!! If you have any pictures of your water marbled nails, I would love to see them:)

Answer
Nope! People suggest scotch but I use masking tape it works just as well and isn't as expensive:]

I just painted my nails, and they've been drying for about 8 minutes now, and they are dry to the touch, but not completely dry underneath the surface. I want them to dry faster, and I read somewhere that running them under cold water would make them dry faster. If I ran them under cold water, or dipped them in a bowl of ice water, would that make my nail polish run?

Answer
Nope, I tried it before. Dipping them in a bowl of ice water will help them dry faster.

Does putting your wet nail polish fingers under cold water work dry it?

Jenna

My nail polish will not dry and I heard putting your finger nails under cold water helps it dry cause it helps settle it. I don't want to ruin my polish and have to take it off, so anyone that has tried it, does it work!? thanks:D
thanks guys! I just tried it and it actually did work! I put them in for 30 seconds and they are dry! I'm so happy cause now I don't have to throw my good nail polishes away (since they don't dry, but now they do)

Answer
Iced water. Cold water with ice in it. Just wait a little before you soak your nails in. Dont directly put them after painting

How can I be more confident? (10 Points for good tips)?

Zelda

This is going to be my last year in middle school, so for high school, I want to be confident. To be sincere, Im a little embarrassed by my chest size; I'm 34D and only 13(genetics). I've always covered up with dark jackets and started smelling bad since sweating badly, leaving me with little amount of friends. I don't want students or classmates calling me a who're or a s!ut and getting unwanted attention from guys. Im actually an honor student who's really good at math and art. About 90 percent of girls in my school are b cup or lower. I hate being that person who doesn't take off her jacket during gym but gets dirty looks from girls when I do. What should I do?

Answer
Instead of jackets, they have something to wear that will flatten your breasts, Ashley Abbott Newman on the Young & the Restless pretended she had her mastectomy due to cancer, but they actually wrapped her boobs well to make them flat!

I've experienced hot flashes since I was a kid, and it got worst when I turned 50. Just bring a fan, dress according to the weather, layer up so you can remove extra clothing and put more if you're cold.

I am also as healthy as a horse and I've got everything checked! As long as your nails, hair and body are all there, no hair loss (as most people have from an allergic reaction dyeing their hair and hormones changing) YOU'RE fine.

Confidence & beauty comes from within.

No matter how much makeup, how expensive your clothes, or how many times you dye your hair or how often, if you're still plastic outside, that beauty doesn't show. It comes from how you feel inside, and how you treat others. Ex: Michelle Pfeiffer is sexy EVEN without make-up!
Beauty comes from your good genes, and good beauty care from day one, plus 3-5 servings of fresh fruits & vegetables NOT made by man or woman like Cindy Crawford or supplements from GNC.

Beauty is wearing little house dresses, spaghetti-strap floral dresses - with no bra, just a very natural look. I'm thinking a hippie @ heart. I think a beautiful floral dress, barefoot, is way sexier than any Victoria Secret thing. Add a flower on your hair, that's the icing on the cake! Seeing a woman's neck is really beautiful.

A happy person is always beautiful.
Being 'cool with yourself' is really the only thing that people remember at the end of the day.

We all have flaws. Even celebrities making tons of dollars a day! "I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification."
~ Lady Gaga, referring to her cheek prosthetics, which she no longer wears.

Katy Perry also admitted she is insecure about certain aspects of her looks.
She said: âMy brows and my eyes, I think, are what frame my whole face. I have all right lips and all right cheekbones, but they`re no showoffs. If I get my brows and my eyes right, that really sets the whole face.â
"My skin used to be a lot worse than it is so I would use a lot more coverage as I was insecure about my skin,â Perry added.

Positive attitude makes people BEAUTIFUL, It's because they see other parts of the world suffering more than them. If it's about your tummy, jaw, breasts, face etc. today, what will you find about yourself that's negative tomorrow.
I thought I was ugly, because I never dated, but I treat people with respect, and I inspire them, making their negatives into a positive. Coming from Asia, I've been to where people only eat rice all day & nothing else, but that never bother me, so I've been there, I can relate, but people who has MORE than us, can't seem to appreciate how lucky they are.

"If you can learn to use your mind as well as you use a powder puff, you will become more truly beautiful." ~ Sophia Loren. She was a sexy symbol 40 years ago, she's was wearing a bathing suit, underarm hair and legs hair.

Iman's tip: "If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, let the beholder be you."

Most confident hero: Heather Abbott leaving the hospital in a pink dress and heels with her crutches. She was Boston bombing amputee.

Pink's quote, rock-star cover girl for Glamour's July 2013: "I'm just living my life. I don't want to be your kind of good.' The.Girl.Can.Rock!"
If you look @ the Red Carpet, many celebrities have dark knees or ugly feet wearing sexy sandals too small! Julianne Moore & Ke$sha for instance, two examples with flawed ugly feet, but they have beautiful smiles forgetting about their aches & pains, and walked the Red Carpet.

Itâs almost impossible to look as perfect as some of us deem celebrities look in photos. Heck, some of the celebrities donât even look like their own images thanks to heavy photoshopping. Some of it is getting a little ridiculous and you have to think about the young, impressionable children who could happen upon these pictures. To help give you some sense of reality, we offer 14 of the most airbrushed celebrity picsâ¦

Ashton Kutcher about 'being sexy':
"The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart. And being thoughtful and being generous. Everything else is crap. I promise you. It's just crap that people try to sell to you to make you feel like less. So don't buy it. Be smart. Be thoughtful and be generous. . . . If nunchaku possession is illegal in California, does that mean I can't buy one?

SupraTTHea

Because stores for martial arts supplies sell them in California. I need one because I have been studying nunchaku for a long time and when I moved to California from Las Vegas, I had mine with me, but they began to wear out. So I was wondering...

Answer
Any store that has one in CA is breaking the law if they offer them for sale to anyone other than a licensed school operator.

If you brought your chuks with you to CA from NV, and you are caught with them, you will go to jail.

A lawyer in CA called Harold Vaugn was visited by police in his home for a totally unrelated issue not long after he moved to CA from VA. On his wall was a display board holding a medal he'd won at an international martial arts tournament, and the chuks he'd used to win it - actually NAILED to he display board. He was prosecuted and convicted for possession of them.

Answer
Nails and The History of Nail Polish
Nail polish can be traced back to at least 3000 BC when it originated in China. The Chinese found ways to use gum arabic, egg whites, gelatin, and bees wax to create varnishes and lacquers for the nails. The Egyptians would use henna to stain their fingernails. In China, as well as in Egypt, color represented social class. During the Chou Dynasty, circa 600 BC, gold and silver were the royal colors. Later, royalty starting wearing black or red nail color. Lower ranking women were only permitted to wear pale tones. Wearing royal colors without being royalty was punished by death. Modern nail polish is a actually a variation of car paint.

Who hit harder George Foreman or Bruce Lee?

Q. 'Cus when Bruce Lee punched he combined speed, strength (he was very strong for his size) an' technique, Foreman just used pure strength alone.

Answer
Now let me see if I understand your question.

You want to compare the punching power of.....

a famous screen and television actor who studied martial arts, gave some demonstrations, reputedly had a few street scrimmages, and who wrote on the topic of martial arts, but who never had an amateur fight career and certainly never had even one professional fight, never mind a professional career ......and who weighed all of 150 lbs, to......

not just a golden gloves amateur, or even an olympic gold medalist, or yet a professional boxer, but to a HEAVYWEIGHT boxer, and moreover a champion professional who is considered to have one of the most powerful punches of all time????

All right....

as difficult as this is, I am going to assume this is a serious question.

I will consider that this is a very, very famous actor, one who gave one-inch-punch demonstrations, and I will overlook the fact that no-one could ever hit back in these situations. I will forget entirely the incident where Judo Gene Lebell put this actor on his shoulders and ran him around helplessly on his shoulders at the request of a movie director....instead, I will buy into the whole television acting illusory business for a moment.

I have to get into the mood.

(HYAHHHHH!).

There. Now I am ready.

So...

if we need to accept that television and movies and articles about actors and how amazing they are is true, and that all the anecdotal stories of superhuman abilities is correct (and your question leads me to believe this might be so) then, let us examine it from that point of view.

How about if we focus for a moment on another waif of 145 pounds who also was featured in some martial arts make-believe films,

But this waif actually did have an amazing fight record....Benny Urquidez.. Bennie "the jet".

You can see Urquidez doing real fighting in old videos (he had thirty-five professional knock-outs, and maintains a record of 63 wins, although this is controversial, and he started competing at age 5).

He also did martial arts movies too!!!

You can watch him do imaginary stage fighting in Force Five, Meals on Wheels, and Dragons Forever, where he plays the villains....and of course,he always has to lose..

But, imagine if Urquidez were to have had a real fight with any of acrobatic movie stars he supposedly lost to in the these movies, who do you think would really win? (Hint: it would not be an actor).

So, I propose we take this movie star who is also a real fighter and who is also only 145 pounds as a better comparison and having a better chance of hitting harder than Foreman (did you know his trimmest fighting weight was 217 pounds?)

All right?

Ok, here is your answer (finally)....

Drumrolll.......anxious martial artist movie fans biting their nails.....

Answer:

The wind from Foreman's punch would pack more power than the glove of Urquidez.

How can I make my own nail polish just for fun?

Recently, many crafting companies for children and adults provide kits that enable you to mix and match your own creations. Online you can find a variety of companies who will specially mix colors and types of polish for you based on your looks and your personality, as well as health concerns. This option attracts many women and the prices are reasonable.

Using colors that you already have in reserve and mixing them with a more neutral base, such as a shimmer or metallic pearl, creates a new shade for your enjoyment. Many glitter shades are available now in stores, as well as lighter, more natural shades. Mixing these with a vibrant color can create many different options for your polish. Use the basic color wheel properties to guide you in your choices. Always test the polish first on one nail to see its durability and the drying color.

I can no longer find my favorite polish in stores. Is there a way I can find it or make it myself?

Many of the online cosmetic companies offer a variety of options for personal expression. By sending in a sample of that favorite polish, the company will work to recreate it for you. A process like this will cost more than you normally pay for nail polish, but if it is THE color, it may be worth it!

If money is a concern, there is a more cost-effective way to go. As mentioned above, finding a base color will help you in the creation of your own shade. Find a base that closely resembles your favorite, and then add lights or darks to enhance the shade. Adding a pearl or nude color will lighten the base, while adding a maroon or deep red will darken it. Refer to your color wheel again for help and inspiration.

How can I mix my own custom nail polish, but with polishes I already have?

Mixing what you already have is a great way to create that jazzy new color you've been looking for. The best way is to wait until your bottle only has about a quarter of polish left. Then you can mix outside the bottle until you figure out the shade you want. After deducing the ingredients, you can add the color directly to the bottle without having to worry about storage. Use another brush specifically for mixing, even a watercolor brush will work, or add tiny bits of color with a toothpick.

Be sure to always test-paint your new mixture on a nail to see the dry color. Sometimes polishes dry differently than what they appear in the bottle, especially those with added elements like shimmer or glitter.

One other option to create a new shade is by illusion. By first applying a dark matte base, you establish a strong foundation. At least two coats of the base is recommended, though adding more may enhance the darker tone in your polish. Make sure that the base coat is COMPLETELY dry before adding any other color. Otherwise you will get a streaky effect that will spoil your brush.

Then add a shimmery, glittery, or two-tone top coat layer by layer. Usually two layers do the trick, but it depends on the type of polish. Experimentation is the key...you have to be willing to try out several shades and combinations before finding the right one. Luckily, you've got five fingers and ten toes in addition to your "writing hand"!

How can I do custom nail designs myself?

The simplest way to create intricate designs is by first practicing on paper. Using a fine-tip permanent marker works for the darker shades, but you will want to try out polish options as well. There is no specific tool that you must use; I recommend trying a variety of different items until you find one that works for your design. I've found that toothpicks or the top of a watercolor brush work the best for smaller dots and other related designs.

Many beauty supply shops offer a variety of different choice for the nail artist. There are even stencils available for quick designs! If you're looking for more than a subtle design, nail jewels are a great way to go. From gems to gold accents, these are sure to make your nails the hit of the day! Lately there have even been charms adde

I've lost a lot of friends this year. Idk why. And everyone seems to be getting prettier than me which makes me think they're too good for me. I want to get way tan this summer, get my teeth whitened, and get extensions even tho my hair is already WAYY long. Do you think everyone will like me more? Will guys start to notice me? I also want to get a job and buy lots of new clothes. What else will make me fit in more? My bestfriend and basically my only friend is a guy. He's way popular and all of his friends are soooo cute. But when I'm with him and he's with them, it's like I'm totally invisible. I know people will say I'm fake and stuff but lately it seems like that's the only thing to get a guys attention. I'm not desperate for a guys attention. Outside of school I get hit on a LOT! I just want a certain boy to notice me

Answer
I remember my bff and I embarking on exactly the same thing when we were 14 yrs. old. We called it "Get Better". lol We planned on shocking the entire school by our fabulousness and beauty.

We designed intricate menus that were incredibly restrictive and somewhat like what an Olympic athlete would do. We started training for a marathon that didn't even exist (running every morning about 2 miles at least), left our hair in olive oil and mayonnaise packs every other day and gave ourselves beauty treatments all summer. We didn't use hot appliances on our hair and got really tan. We whitened out teeth and both tried out for cheerleading.. in hopes that we would rule the school (lol).

The good news is that we did succeed. It was easier with two than just one, though. It's hard to stay focused and not give into temptation when you're trying this on your own. It really helps to have a "get-better buddy".

Join a gym, btw. Tell them you only need the membership for three months and it shouldn't be more than $25 - $30 each month. THAT will fix your life as far as getting cute/toned/fit/beautiful. They have yoga, Pilates, spinning, cardio, weight training..you name it. Some have tanning salons, too. If they have karate or martial arts.. TAKE THE CLASS (trust me). Boxing is cool, too. Guys love that. A really cute girl that knows Karate or is boxing in cute little retro Dophin shorts and a beater tank is hot to guys! You'll be intriguing to them all.

Using a spray tanning salon will help with protecting your skin from damage when you are tanning in the real sun.

In three months time you can definitely have a ballerina-bum, along with cut and chiseled calves and thighs. You can create a sexy little 6-pack, too. Working out every day and drinking at least 2 liters of water every day = totally clear, flawless skin.

If you want to start a part-time job at the local gym.. all the better! You'll have a membership for free and it will enable you to buy cute clothes and pedicures, tanning sessions and teeth bleach.

I really hate to say that that's the way life works but the truth is, there are certain situations where it's all about superficial and external stuff. As you've noted, you get attention from guys when you're not in school, but they ignore you at school. That's because they're used to what you look like and besides, kids in middle and high school are really superficial anyway. No way around that. It's best to always go for a natural, more accidental beauty vs. all tarted-up. More make-up, false lashes, heels and acrylic nails are a definite NO! You want to aim for perfectly toned body, clear perfect skin, healthy long hair == a natural beauty.

The gym-thing will be awesome. You'll meet and greet lots of cool people who're into fitness. Guys that work out are way better than guys who live their life online eating Doritos and never move a muscle. When you start getting into the gym, your enthusiasm will be noticed by your mate and his mates, for sure. They WILL notice that you got really hot over the summer! Contrary to what others may think.. this is ultimately for YOU.. not for others. It's a win-win. You may be trying to better yourself because of a crush but if that results in building confidence, strength and fitness.. if it helps with every other area of your life then it isn't just silly superficial stuff. It takes dedication and inner strength to keep this regimen up.. and that's really beneficial in the long and the short run.

Start taking vitamins and disallow yourself all junk. No chocolate..no bad stuff. Put motivational pix up everywhere (all over your mirrors, your laptop screen, the fridge..) of people who have the look you want to have. Focus on the goal and you'll get there!

good luck!

What is best nail salon in nj for hand painted nail art?

Erin

I'm looking for the best salon in NJ preferrably the Hazlet/Middletown area or somewhere near there to get my nails done that does really great hand painted custom nail art. Like if I show them a picture off pinterest can do it plus they have their own designs and they have some that are 3d with the things they can glue on them. Basically all the bells and whistles I could want. Thanks!!

Answer
The best nail salon is somewhere in the Central market, in downtown New Jersey.

Google translate won't pick up on the encoding!

I just want to know if the block of foam is dipped in something, and how she got the colors blended on her nails... and any other details that are left out of the photos.

Thank you!!

Answer
I will translate starting where you see the nail polishes.

1) You will need a top coat, China glaze fairy dust, Micha PK001, Olivedeco pastel orange, pastel yellow, Floren sweet green, olive deco pastel blue, Eteed house house lilac milk.
2) Give yourself a manicure and apply basecoat
3) Apply colors diagnally
4) Apply in order of the rainbow colors
5) Between each colors, use a manicure stick or a toothpick to blend the colors; this will bring out more natural result/gradation.
6) To control the amount of polish applied to the nail, please use a piece of paper or foil to dab off excess.
7) you have to dab off excess, otherwise, too much polish will result in same effect.
8) and dab sponge as shown.
9) Repeat steps 3-8 for each nail.
10) In this photo, I've applied it twice. You see, now it's darker. Usually two applications are enough, but with pastels, you can see lots of sponge marks.
11) so I repeated the process. Now, can see that the colors are more defined, and much less empty spaces and sponge marks?
12) As far as the excess spaces and sponge marks, wait for the nail polish to dry a bit, then apply the top coat; as the colors blen, the sponge marks will fade and blend with the top coat. If you apply the top coat too soon or wait too long for the polish to dry before applying the top coat, you will not get the same effect..
13) You can use cotton/q-tip to remove excess polish on your fingers/skin. I rubbed too hard so you can see my skin has reddened... becareful not to remove your nail art.
14) I finished it off with the China glaze fairy dust polish. Doesn't it look more fancy?
15) To finish it off, I applied one more coat of top coat; this will make your nail art look for shiney and last longer.

Hoep this helps!

I'm trying to get the name of an Asian martial arts/drama movie I saw a while ago?

Kat

Don't kno any actor/actress names.
Was about a quiet recluse kinda guy with a hidden past. Befriends a little girl whose mother's a drug addict. The little girl wants to be a nail artist & does one of his nails while he's sleeping. She gets kidnapped. Towards the end of the movie he thinks they took her eyes...& he's fighting to save her eyes in a glass tube.
It was on Netflix, jus hoping someone knos what movie I'm talkin bout

How do I loosen up thick nail polish?

nail polish for dogs

nail polish for dogs image

Rachel

I bought some nail polish for my dogs that arrived in the mail today, and 2 of the 4 colors are thick. They're not horribly goopy, but seeing as how dog nail polish is supposed to dry fast, this may be a problem. Before contacting the seller to get an exchange, is there anything I can try to loosen it up to make it a bit runnier?

Answer
Add some alcohol 90, not polish remover because the texture of the nail polish might become very dull, lose its shine.
Don't do it too much by the way and add it little by little.

What if my dog licks human nail polish off her nails?

NeverEverS

What if my dog licks human nail polish off her nails? Is it toxic?

Answer
first of all. GET IT OFF. you need to just let it dry and then scrape it off, DON'T USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER. it is even more toxic. hold up her head while it dries. don't let her lick it. Please don't do it again, would you put it on a baby who sucks its thumb?

The dress is black, with a bright turquoise blue ribbon across the top. It is classy, and I plan on wearing it to a formal dinner and prom.

I could do my nails in french tips or blue to match the ribbon. Thoughts? Any other suggestions?

Answer
French manicure

A black matte french manicure:

Belle

I have been doing nail art on my own with the colors like at the nail salons for close friends & family. I know where to purchase the professional stuff cheap too. I'd like to expand into doing this for women wanting to save the $3 or higher fee per nail at the salons. Do I need to be licensed to do this or can I expand with just some business cards or word of mouth?

Answer
yes you need a liscence but the training is usually only 250 hours to become licensed.

What can i attach fake nails to so i can decorate them before putting them on?

Kelly

I really want to get into nail art. Problem is i am extremely uncoordinated with my right hand, and my left hand always looks like a 3 year old did it. Is there a way to secure the nails to something like a pencil so that i can decorate them before putting them on? i dont have one of those finger things, so im not looking for that answer :) any tips would be appreciated! thank you!

Answer
What i do is use makeup brushes:) i use blush eyeshadow and liner brushes handles to attache them to with those little sticky pads they sometimes come with. Just find the right size of handel for the nail and stick it on there with the pads and then just place something at the end so it do sent move. (Like a wallet a bag anything kinda heavy and small ish:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
