Why do nail salons use UV lights to help polish dry?

ET

Answer
the uv lights rapidly and completely dry the polish. They use them to avoid you getting your nails messed up. OR in the case of the relatively new trend of UV GEL polishes, the uv light cures the gel and makes it pretty much permanent. It doesn't chip or come off at all without a soak in acetone.

Hope I helped. :)

Gel nail polish without UV light?

Is there any brand of gel nail polish where you don't have to use UV light?

Answer
Any normal nail polish. What I'm trying to say is no. Gel polishes need the UV light to "cure" the polish or it wont dry.
