Good summer nail styles/colors?

You can post pictures or just describe what nail choices you think would be best to wear for summer. What does ombre nails look like? What's a fun way to have French tips or nail art? I'm looking for something fun and fabulous, so be creative! I'm very creative too, so I can handle a difficult job!

Essie has some great summer nail colors out right now. I want all of them! If you have an Ulta Beauty near you, you can purchase a sampler pack. This way you can try several of them out!

Orly also has some summery neon colors out. I would recommend checking these out, too.

As for ombre nails, they go from one color to another color/shade on each nail. It creates a gradient effect on each of your nails. This effect looks pretty cool and can be done in a variety of ways. A fun French tip would be to pick out a summer color for your base and then use glitter for your tips.

Getting fake nails with a mechanical job?

So I'm typically pretty girly and want fake nails, maybe even just short ones but I work for a zip line all summer, it is very hands on work.. I can use gloves at work too but do you think I'd be able to handle something like that with fake nails? I've never had them before. Or does nail salon's do nail art on you're real nails?

A lot will depend on exactly what type of manual work you are doing, the length of your nails and your experience doing the work with the long nails. If you start with them relatively short and let them grow you will become accustomed to them and may be able to adapt to some fairly long talons. I am not familiar with a "zip" line so I speak in ignorance. But----what the heck! Give it a try. Long nails can be very attractive.

How do I get into doing nail art?

I would like to learn how to start doing cooler things with my nail polish. I don't have a ton of money to spend on it, but how would you suggest getting started? What tools would I need? If I wanted to do acrylic nails at home, what products do you recommend?

If you haven't already, get down to Dollar General and grab some of their nail polish in the skinny bottles. It's cheap and it has the skinny brush, which is what you'll want to use for designs. Now, if you go on with this and start wanting to buy better quality stuff, great. But for now, I'd start with the inexpensive brands. If you have a steady hand, try some more complex stuff (cheetah print, letters, rainbows, etc). If you have a hard time keeping your hand from shaking, start off with simple French tips and the like. Get on Pinterest, too. There are a lot of cool ideas you can replicate or make your own. If you want to start acrylics, I'd buy a cheap kit first at the drugstore, and give it a couple shots with that before you buy quality stuff. Who wants to practice paint jobs on an expensive car?!

i love art and i have hobbies that include art like painting, drawing, sewing and making clay miniatures. i also love doing makeup and special effects makeup (like fake cuts, bruises and scars) and i also do nail art. i want a job that uses art that im going to enjoy when im older. any ideas of what i could work as?

If you're brave enough, you could go for becoming a fine artist. Although along with your interests, maybe you'd also find it full fulfilling to seek out a career in cosmetology and move on to doing costume make up.

Would it be appropriate to wear a soft Pink or a subtle red nail polish as a cashier clerk?

I just got a job as a part time cashier clerk and, I would like to know that since I got a manicure that has pink nail polish; would it be appropriate to wear a soft pink or a red because the only thing that I cannot have is wild colors like neon colors and, over-excessive nail art.

What kind of fake nails should I get? Acrylic, gel or solar pink and white?

I work alot and the paint always chips after a day even with top coat on my natural nails. I want some cool nail art, can I get that on gel nails so it lasts? are solar pink and white nails worth $50? how do you prevent bacteria growing from between the real nail and and the fake one?

You cant stop the growth I am afraid as you cant prevent your natural nail from growing. Personally acrylics are better suited if you work a lot and are prone to chipping as they are a lot for hard wearing than the gel ones. Make sure you get them done professionally as a shoddy job can mean that they lift after a week or so and you would not want them pinging off right left and centre.

Is black nail polish appropriate for a job interview/testing?

I do nail art and I just erased all of my designs. I wouldn't show up with teal,pink and blue in my black outfit and if I had red I would wear it,but is black too much?

Personally i wouldn't go for black for a job interview, you don't want to stand out for the wrong reasons! ha ha. I suggest you go for a cream colour or a very pale pink. I prefer the sound of the pale pink but whatever takes your fancy. If you have dark skin go for a paler colour, but if you think your skin is quite pale then go for a more brighter colour. I would have gone for red but if you don't have it then defiantly a pale pink or cream. Go for the colour you think is right for you. Good Luck on your job interview, hope this helped a little.
