San Antonio prices of everyday things?

laney

I'm visiting San Antonio in a couple of weeks and just for fun, I want to compare their prices of everyday things to New York's so I'll be prepared =D

Price of a bottle of water? A slice of pizza? A cup of coffee?

Answer
Water - 99 cents to $2.00 depending on whether it's ozarka or fiji
A slice of pizza - $2.00 to $4.00 depending on where you go, but Little Caesars sells whole pizzas for $5. Pizza Italia is great! Double Dave's in Alamo Heights has a buffet that is wonderful. Or go to Twin Sisters for a sandwich and soup for about $5.00, yumm. And then go to the McNay Art Museum next door where there are Renau's and O'Keefe's.
A cup of Coffee - I prefer to mix 1/2 cup of decaf with a blend of vanilla cappicino and add some vanilla syrup. It's 89Cents if you go to Valero convenience store and it's delicious! Or go to Starbucks for $3.50 minimum. But, that's ambience. Or go to HEB Central Market and get it for about $2.00 and walk around the store and try some of the other wonderful food samples. It's free to do this.
A gallon of Milk is $3-$4.50.
Gasoline is $2.75-3.95 depending on where you fill up.
Having your nails manicured and feet pedicured around $35.
If you do fills it's $55. A nice deep tissue massage is about $40 for 1 hour. I go to the place near HEB off Brookhollow and Hwy 281 (also sometimes called San Pedro) near Hollywood Park.
Haircut and style for about $20 - $30 for women. I prefer Visible Changes at Northstar.
A cute swimsuit right now in July will cost you about $30-$40 at Macy's also at Macy's. I bought 3 for about $50.
I also went to buy 3 Yoga exercise videos and 5 Suzie in the City and Susan Lawrence blouses at Ross (saw the same blouses at Macy's for $120). At Ross, I got it for $30.
Then I ate at La Madeline for $10 a wonderful Salmon Salad. At Broadway across for Central Market HEB. Another at Northwoods at 1604 and 281. I had so much I couldn't eat it all and saved the rest for later.
Ordinary things.
