nail polish effects diy image

We bought this really neat DIY pinhole camera from the MoMA in New York, and while we were assembling it, my fingers accidentally touched the pinhole. We can't see ANYTHING through the pinhole now; there's spots everywhere.
How do you get fingerprints off of a highly delicate pinhole?
Well, it's a sheet with a pinhole embedded in it. (It was too tiny for me to see it, so I couldn't help touching the spot.) I don't really know how to explain it; but the directions for the P-Sharan STD 35, (the model we got), say that it is impossible to take photographs with the pinhole in the way that it is. I'm just wondering if there's some way to properly clean it.
Answer
As someone already said here - the pinhole itsself is a tiny hole which cannot get dirty.
Possibly the foil where the hole is in can get dirty but fingerprints on the foil do not effect the picture. With bare eye you won't see much through the tiny hole anyway as it is most probably less than 1mm (0.04 inch)
It might be possible that there is some dirt covering the hole in that case I suggest that you try to simply blow it away or use some solvent on a Q-Tip if the foil is metal (lighter fluid, nail polish remover, denaturated alcohol).
Do NOT use a pin or something to poke into the hole. It will ruin the edges and most likely also widen the hole which will result in less picture quality.
Hold the foil against a light source (window) if you see a tiny point of light in the middle it should be OK.
As said before - fingerprints on the foil are no problem as the light passes only through the tiny hole.

What Can I Do With Vaseline?
Q. Hi, guys! I'm home alone today, and super bored, so I decided to clean out my medicine cabinet and the cabinet under my sink, and I just found a huge tub of Vaseline (the sensitive baby stuff, if that helps). I remembered hearing that this stuff can do tons of different beauty treatments, and DIY makeup products. I'm just wondering if finding industrial-sized petroleum jelly is the same as finding a DIY accidict's dream :D
This question dosen't need a super long intro, but here it is:
What are some awesome DIY makeup products or beauty treatments you can do with Vaseline/Petroleum Jelly?
