How much money do you spend on beauty products? Like make up, skin cleansers, lotions, nail polish? What do you think you spend the most on?
How much do you spend each month?
Answer
lets see.
on makeup- i don't usually spend too much on this. just like 6-10 dollars on things like blush, eyeshadow, foundation etc etc. i'll spend like 15-30 dollars on lip gloss though because i buy it from sephora or chanel.
skin cleansers- i'll usually spend about 10-20. i get the neutrogena acne stress relief or one from sephora.
lotions- i always get lotion from bath and body works. i love that store. so i spend about 7+ dollars on a bottle about...
nail polish- sometimes i go to a local drug store and buy one for like 1-5 dollars. like a cheapy polish. and if i really want a good color, i'll buy the chanel polishes for about 20 dollars.
i think i spend the most money on lip glosses. i would have to say it is my favorite item. but i also get stuff from benefit cosmetics. they have little kits that have a little of everything in it. like one kit is "big beautiful eyes" and another has eye shadows, lumination, and lip gloss. those are all about 30 dollars.
good question!

I have never used a Kleancolor nail polish, but I've seen great reviews for their lot of 48 nail polishes for like $50 on Amazon.
As for the ones I've tried that I know without a doubt are quality, I stick with Essie, OPI, Orly, and China Glaze. I love Orly for French manicures, OPI for elegance, China Glaze for fun and unique colors, and Essie for my beiges and cute pinks. If you have $50 to spend, I'd recommend one of the lots on eBay for a bunch of Essie polishes in an array of shades.
If you are looking for most budget-conscious option, here's how I would do it:
Polishes: Browse around YouTube for styles you like and mark them. The people on the videos usually tell you which brand/color they are using. Don't look for these in stores, try to find them on eBay or Amazon. You save a good 20% - 80% finding that polish online and getting it shipped to you as opposed to buying one in a beauty store. Find specific quality colors rather than buying a lot and then not using most of them.
Dotting Tools - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005Y6F4WO/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Nail Brushes - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006L1DNWY/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Base Coat - This one is going to be a bit pricy, but even with the best materials and talent, there is only so much an artist can do on a poor canvas. You'll want to use Nail Envy to strengthen and prepare your nails as your base coat. If you buy in stores, it runs $17. On Amazon, like $9.
Glue - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008F7ZEHE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Accessories: Amazon. You won't believe how cheap nail tape, jewels, nail bows, flocking powder, caviar beads, etc. are there!
As another note, I recommend Essie's Matte About You. It essentially doubles every polish you have because put over a shiny polish, it makes it a matte polish. Much better than buying an actual matte polish.
Never buy a cracking polish. Cracking effects can be created using nail tools. Buying a regular nail polish and creating the cracks takes more time, but lets you double the use of each polish you buy.
A base coat is super important because nail polish (especially reds) can dye your nails without it. Then, going from a bright red to a French manicure will be impossible.
Also, white is an absolutely essential color. It makes whatever colors you put on top of it brighter, and you can use fewer coats to get great coverage with the lighter ones. Fewer coats means using less nail polish in the long run and saving money.
