nail art trends image

Lately i've been seeing SO many girls with their nails painted, with one nail on each hand painted a different color than the rest. What is the point of this new trend?
Answer
Accent nails? Well, if you think that two colors look nice together, like blue and silver or hot pink and black, but you don't have the skill or creativity to do nail art, it's an easy option. Also, if you want to use a really bright, in your face kind of polish like a neon or glitter but don't want to over do it, putting it on only one nail tones it down while still being able to wear it. It's also a way to save discontinued or special nail polishes like flakes or holographics and preserve them. If you do nail art like me, I'll do a particularly difficult design on only one nail to keep it from looking too cluttered, and it saves me time.
Hope I helped. :)

What do you need in a nail decorating kit?
Bluefeathe
You know you can buy fake nails in shops with all the cute decorations, what equipment would you need to do that yourself? I mean what do they stick on them (plastic or clay?), how do they colour it, what sort of kit etc.
Answer
As far as I know, you can use these to decorate the nails:
Rhinestones in various shapes & kinds
Microbeads (or micro-caviars)
Powders
Moss/Cotton for nails (they're kinda new I think)
Polymer clay sticks that you can slice to put on your nails
Matte top coat (somewhat new trend)
Nail art stamps (the common brand is Konad, you use this thing to make flower patterns/laces, etc)
A set of nail art brush (there's usually like 15 of them)
A set of dotting pens in various sizes
Acrylic paint (to make drawings on nails)
Nail sponge
Sticker strips
Tweezers
And a good top coat to seal the designs. I usually bought my nail art stuffs at Amazon. Hope this helps!
