I want to be organized... Got any ideas?Any cheap ideas or diy crafts organizers?

Answer
First, take three boxes and label them:
PUT AWAY
GIVE AWAY
THROW AWAY

Now, go through every item in your room, your dresser drawers, under your bed and through your closet. Every item belongs in one of the three boxes. When the PUT AWAY box gets filled, dump it on your bed and categorize it with like items. The THROW AWAY box gets dumped in a trash bag and put outside. The GIVE AWAY box gets emptied into a bag and put in the trunk of the car to go to the GoodWill, Salvation Army or Charity.

Soon enough you will have only what you need and you use regularly. Now it is time to put things away. You will be amazed how much space you have for your stuff after weeding out the things you really do not need to store.

SPACE SAVING TIPS:
Hang a closet rod higher in the closet and then install a second rod so that you have double the hanging space and so you can see more of your clothes. Your shoes can go on the closet floor or in a bin under the bed. Purchase an over the door shoe rack with clear pockets. This is a great storage solution for hair things, make up, electronic chargers and such, hair brushes, lotions, nail polish or it can be used for socks and under garments.

Use storage space wisely. If you can hang shelving and buy wicker or plastic containers/bins, then you have increased your storage space by lining up these bins in the shelf.

The most important thing to remember is to get the stuff out of your room that you do not need on a day to day basis. Store that stuff in the attic, basement or garage.

Fun DIY projects for room decoration?

Kelli

I am starting my first year of College in about a month and I'm staying home because we could not afford a room and board so instead, my mom is letting me re do my room. I am getting a new bed frame and new dressers. I am looking for new things. I've been hanging posters for years and I want something else other than posters. I am a nail polish collector (over 170 bottles currently) and one of the things I'm doing is creating a wall rack for all my nail polish out of wood planks at Home Depot, I'm going to paint them and decorate them. I am also doing the crayon melting thing. I need more things that I can do. This will help the rest of my summer go by quicker (cause I'm anxious for college) and also show off my creativity in my own personal gallery lol
So any DIY projects that you know helps. I have lots of paints, rhinestones, and decorating tools, I also have a Cricut printer so I can use that as well. Only thing that i am restricted from is painting my walls because we are rent to own and we do not own the house yet. I want to hear as many ideas as possible thanks guys!

How about some lights? Some of these you could probably just make and hang them as decoration instead of adding a light inside.

String Pendant Light:

Paper Lantern Light (looked really easy to make but I haven't actually tried):

Cardboard Pendant Light:

Paper Crane Lamp (looks pretty time consuming though and doesn't really have instruction, but looks sweet to me):

Hanging Lamp Made of Cupcake Holders (could also just be a decoration, not a light):

Hanging butterfly/(you could use anything really) decor:
