I want to stop liking guys. i mean, I get stuck by expecting but actually, nothing always happens. Sometimes, i wish to be close with a guy, have that guy court me or stuff. i think it's not healthy to like guys if it only makes you assume and hope for nothing. So, what to do?

Answer
Erase him out of your heart. To do that, you should stop thinking about him. Stop daydreaming about him. Thinking like this is very dangerous. So quit it. Plus the people around you will think you are weird. Because it only makes you like him more.

Keep busy. Do some sport, art, hang out with your friends. Girl, have fun. Just because you can't have the guy you like doesn't mean you have to lie on your bed, crying. You are still young and free. Have fun with your life.

Tell a trusted friend/adult. There's nothing worse than trying to get over the guy you can't have alone. Why don't you go phone a friend? Isn't that what friends are for? You can weep with your mom. It's hard to tell your mom but she was a teenager once, she'll know how you feel. Just don't keep this to yourself. You never know, maybe your friend is suffering the same issue too.

Boost your self confidence. You think you are not good enough for him. But don't you ever think that. Maybe he's the one that's not good enough for you. Stop it. God created us all equally. NO one's better that the other. You are beautiful in God's eyes. You are so precious that Jesus died for you. So come be confident. If you want, you can try a makeover. Have a sleepover with friends and do each other's hair and nails.

Don't act weird around him. Been there, done that. The thing you should do is just treat him as a friend. He's not a god. He's just a friend. Just another guy.

Get over him. "Oh, but he's too gorgeous." "He's the only reason that I rise up in the morning." "He brought me joy." It's like he's tattooed into your heart. But snap out of it. You can't have him. God does everything for a reason. Maybe you can't have him for a purpose, whether its because he already has a girlfriend, doesn't want a girlfriend, or because he simply can't have a girlfriend, due to parental and/or religious restrictions. God wants you to have someone better. Look at that guy. Look at him closely. Is he exactly your dream guy? IS he really he perfect one? IN 10 years will you still like him? He doesn't deserve you. There's someone out there better for you. You are gonna be ok, sweetie. You lived without him once. You can do it again. Open your eyes, there are far more important things to do than to think about the guy you can't have.

Tips:
Feel pretty. You deserve a whole lot better than him
Smile and laugh lots. It really helps.
Go hang out with your buddies and have fun
Instead of moping in your room do something to keep you busy.
Pray about it. Read the Bible.
Listen to music that relates to what you are going through.
Don't be afraid to cry. Cry with a mate. It makes a difference.
Keep an eye for that perfect guy of yours. Be open.

Warnings:
Do not act weird around him
Don't seek for revenge just because you can't have him. If he has a girlfriend. Don't bother her. Don't do anything mean to her. You're better than that.
Don't try break them up- if you do, both of them will most likely be mad at you and the guy wont give you a chance.
Just because your sad, don't eat so much chocolate. It can make you sick. Eat something healthy like mangoes or strawberries with salt.It tastes better than you think.

Anybody know how to make tin can luminaries?

Cassandra

I am trying to make them and when I freeze the water filled can the bottom pushes out and then they don't stand up straight when finished. Anybody know how to prevent this???

Answer
Tin can luminaries are a fun, easy craft project for all ages.
They are great for any holiday and only limited by your
imagination! You can transfer any simple shape onto a tin can to
create a beautiful candle holder for any occasion.

I chose to make luminaries for Christmas this year. You can
choose any simple design to transfer onto your tin can. I used a
favorite clip art program on my computer to look for easy
Christmas designs to print out. I chose a Christmas tree, a
snowman, and a pair of gingerbread men.

Here's what you need to get started:

- Empty tin cans (washed and labels removed)

- Design to transfer onto can

- Hammer

- Large nail

- Tape

- Dish towel

It is easiest to punch the holes in your tin can if you freeze
some water in it first. Fill the can with water, leaving 1/4
inch space at the top for the ice to expand. Place in freezer
until frozen. Your can may bulge a little at the bottom while in
the freezer, but after you remove the ice you can use the hammer
to flatten out the bottom of the can.

You might want to freeze a couple more cans then you think you'll
need in case you make a mistake and have to start over again.

After the ice has frozen, take the tin can from the freezer and
tape your design to the can. I used packing tape, but you can
also use duct tape. The tape won't stick to the cold can, but
you can wrap the tape all the way around the can so it will stick
to the paper.

If you don't have a design on paper, you can also draw a design
on the can freehand with a permanent marker. You can also just
punch the design freehand without drawing it first.

Lay the can on a folded dish towel so the towel will catch the
ice chips that try to escape. It will also hold the can in
place. Using the hammer and nail, tap holes around the border of
your design, trying to punch holes evenly and not too close
together. You want a simple design so that when you see only the
holes in the can you will be able to tell what it is!

After punching the holes, remove the paper and tape and admire
your design. It is really so easy! If you plan to hang your
luminary, also punch two holes at the top of the can. You can
make a handle out of wire (from a craft store) or a wire coat
hanger.

Place the tin can under running warm water to melt the ice. Dry
the can with a towel and place a votive candle in the bottom.
You will need a long lighter or match to light the candle.

To further decorate your tin can luminary, you can spray paint
the can any color you wish. Be creative!

This is a great family project. Just make sure kids have adult
supervision while using the hammer and nails. Have fun!
